Trippaul Threat (PdN x BMJ) Community Grow

This is a dedicated grow log for Tristen's awesome cross, which I
have been growing out since 2014.  I'll start with a bit of history and
some photos documenting what's happened so far.

In January of 2014, Tristen (Trippa) sent me a little care package of seeds.
In the package were two generations of a cross he had made, which he just
called 'Mystery Cross, F1' and 'Mystery Cross, F2'.

Here's Trippa's Mystery Cross seedlings in February of 2014:

Both generations showing the purple foliage characteristic since the beginning.

Up close look at Trippa's Mystery Crosses, F1 and F2.  Both culled to a single
plant after the photo taken, so I only had one plant of each generation:

My only Trippaul Threat plant is very vigorous and grows very tall. It seems to branch out and the first flower buds appear.

Typical growth habit for the Trippaul Threat.
Big rangy growth that will be full of pods by
Summer. Can't wait to see how the pods de-
velop for you!

@SineNomine - Here's a pic of the F9 White Lightening
in the 8" bulb pan finishing out a round of pod ripening.
Even this little plant shows that rangy growth habit.

I have 5 hanging pots that have more space above where I have Fatalii. I think I should have put it in one of these. Let's see how it evolves, maybe I'll change places with one of the Fatalii.

Yes, indeed. They like some head room, for sure.
Hope you can swap out the plants without break-
ing off a branch or two.

Managed a few seeds from the F9 White
Lightning with the erect flowers and pods.
A few look like they might be viable. There
are still 4 pods ripening on the plant now.

I have to say that colored pods do look nicer... 🤔

Last pod off the ‘bonchi’ F9 White Light-
ning, the largest pod and the most seeds
of any pod so far this season.

The plant is starting another round of
flowering.

I have what should be a Jamaican Red that came from the A++ pods
It has purple foliage & looks a lot like them
So it's a cross or A Trippaul Treat that got in the mix I am going to over winter it for next season.
I do have some Trippaul Treat F3 Peach going

Alright @Plantguy76! I can't wait to see
how the peach pods strain turns out for
you this season.

Nice specimen! Definitely shows the rangy
growth characteristic of the Trippaul Threat
plants. It will be awesome to see those flowers
turn into more pods! The ones on the plant
look great, nice shape and color.
