Trippaul Threat (PdN x BMJ) Community Grow

This is a dedicated grow log for Tristen's awesome cross, which I
have been growing out since 2014.  I'll start with a bit of history and
some photos documenting what's happened so far.

In January of 2014, Tristen (Trippa) sent me a little care package of seeds.
In the package were two generations of a cross he had made, which he just
called 'Mystery Cross, F1' and 'Mystery Cross, F2'.

Here's Trippa's Mystery Cross seedlings in February of 2014:

Both generations showing the purple foliage characteristic since the beginning.

Up close look at Trippa's Mystery Crosses, F1 and F2.  Both culled to a single
plant after the photo taken, so I only had one plant of each generation:

My globe-shaped pod seed did not germinate
this season, either, darn. hope you can get some
pods from your purple phono

Been a great season, and I have enjoyed seeing the results
of those who posted their results. Very helpful.

On a different note, I have tried to get ahold of Trippa with
little success. I hope he is okay.

I know we all thought that this season should be the season
of naming the cross. I am thinking of giving it a name just so
we don't have to keep writing PdN x BMJ

The white and violet pods are so exquisite in their own right,
almost like a bowl of rare fruits or fancy treats. I swear some
look like candy.  The original name was going to be Trippaul
White Lightening, but the emergence of the more common
violet pods rendered that name kind of non-descriptive.

So here's my thinking. For now it can be called Tristen's Fancy.
He is the creator of the cross, so I think that's appropriate. However,
should Tristen read this and have a different idea, I am okay with that.
He has veto power!

Since we have had white, yellow and violet pods, each could
be called Tristen's Fancy white, Tristen's Fancy violet, or Tristen's
Fancy yellow.

I hope that sounds okay. Just felt like we had to get this done.

I hope everyone has enjoyed this thread as much as I have.
I hope it continues strong next season.

What about Trippaul White Lightening, Trippaul Violet Lightening and Trippaul Yellow Lightning ?

It needs a name. Every time I hear purple thunder I think of these pods. Eventually I'll come around and figure it out. This was a fun thread to follow. The pods all look great. I'm guessing we will see a few grow out the next generation in 2020.

I am really such a slack person in terms of keeping up here ... Well done everyone on some great grows ... And well done Paul on keeping this going so strongly ... It's only getting bigger which is great news for the strain long term.
I have been thinking and seeing as both original plants had three part names (Bonda ma Jacques x Pimenta De Neyde) it seems to be throwing 3 different colours and in preservation of the original roots .... How about just 'Trippaul' (pronounced as in 'triple') for the name. Thoughts?

I've been pronouncing it as 'trip-paul', but 'triple' is much more catchy.

If people are fond of the lightning part, how about replacing it with thunder? Then you'd have alliteration: Trippaul Thunder, and you would add the color to specify which one it is.

Tristen! so good to see you on the thread!

I'm down with that.

How about Trippaul White, Trippaul Violet, Trippaul Yellow?

Can we settle on that?

Since my other cross is called Purple Thunder,
it might be confusing to me
