URGENT!!CUSTOMS?

nop just put the seed in a bagys inside a wish card put it in an envelop and mail it !! ...this is what i always do and never had problem..

If the seeds are hidden in a card or "lettermail" envelope you should be ok but if you use a bubble envelope(or box) you will likely need to declare what you're sending. If you decide to declare, then you have to list everything properly and there is still less chance of the package arriving.

I sent whole peppers in a "bubble envelope" to the UK, and didn't have any problems.

Brazil and Australia are much stricter since many seeds can become invasive with no winter die off.

I've sent many seeds to Italy. I just declare it as a gift and list it as vegetable seeds, thats it. No crazy customs regulations like Australia (and probably Brazil.)

i don't know monzella (not shur of the spelling) send me some seed that I never recieve !! and I trust in ..I'm shure he send them ...and I'm not able to importe some Lophophora (cactus)from itali ...I dont know why :D LOL but I can importe them from anywere else exept itali ...

So wait, if I were to send tiny dry pods in a normal sized bubble envelop to Australia, will it get to its destination?

I thought bubble was the giveaway? Maybe not. Just smuggle them in Omri! You've always wanted to see the land down under haven't you?

Also...I need you to go to Trinidad for me.......

Letters do not need customs declarations. If the envelope is stiffened (won't bend) or is thicker than .25" it is considered a package and not a letter, and it needs a customs form.

Ordinary envelopes often work but the postal service can often destroy seeds in their rollers. I like to use bubble envelopes unless sending to Brazil or Australia or possibly other overseas destinations or when I'm just plain broke. It only takes seconds to fill out the proper info at the post office or possibly online.

Omri, Im in West Aus one of the strictest states.

:hell:I have received pods and many a variety of seed from all over the world, some have been checked by customs but most arent. I have received dried pods from the UK and massive jam packed envelopes of seed from Texis and mexico. If I can suggest you send 1 declared version and 1 not, I dont think you will have a hastle. As long as it is not a restricted plant or has any soil with it they usually state customs checked then re seal it and post it on. people go on about the hastle involved but to be honest Ive never found it difficult at all, and im in one of the most restricted states.

Good luck

That's cool.
Just want to send several dry African Birdseye pods.
Nothing fancy, 5-10 tiny pods per envelop.
