I know politics is not allowed and this is not about politics. Rather, it is about what is probably the most important thing one can do today - vote!
First, did you cast a ballot? I don't care which party or what issues you may support, did you vote?
Second - was the turnout in your precinct average, above average or below average?
While I was voting, and I know some of the poll workers, a fluorescent light started dripping some dark brown goopy stuff - the stuff normally seen when a ballast burns out. I advised them to turn the lights out so a fire didn't break out - they said they couldn't. Well, either they could or a circuit blew because that bank of lights went out. They weren't going to do anything about it but I reminded them that in OH, the polls stay open until 7:30 and that by a little after 6:00, it is dark outside. The lady decided they needed someone to fix the lights or at the least bring in flashlights so people could see to vote.
BTW, the workers said the turnout this year was almost as large as two years ago.
