WC 2010

Im pulling for ya Vincent. Germany is going to beat Spain then I hope the Dutch can pull it off. Would be nice to see.

I've always liked watching the Dutch, I hope your lot can finally lift the cup this year Vincent. I'll be cheering for them. Germany/Netherlands would be an exciting game....

I think that the way Germany are playing now, there is not a side in the world that can beat them, (including Brazil).

Holland have a grittiness and determination that tends to get under the skin of the opposition however, as we saw against Brazil, so when they meet Germany in the final on Sunday, anything can happen.

I've watched Holland lose a number of finals in the past, and while I expect Germany to win, I'll be thrilled to see a Dutch victory.

As a neutral, having watched my side of pansies go home early, it's such a thrill to see good football and as long as the game doesn't go to penalties, I'll be content.

Now... where are those vuvuzela orders, lads??

LOL!

Actually, the best selling vuvus are the Limited Editions which unscrew in the middle for transportation, and which are covered with stickers of the 32 teams.

Hey, now that it's over, who's going to be watching Le Tour?

Transportation??? You mean these things are going to spread world wide??? You should be ashamed to peddle such things Huntsman.... :shame:

This world cup we seem unbeatable. We won all 6 matches in 90 minutes but we also won all 8 qualification matches. Germany has been playing very well so far but in my opinion we have seen the best of their abilities. We have been playing at 60% of our potential. If they play like they did 2 years ago at the european cup against France and Italy we can beat any opponent.
I'm personally hoping for germany, we have been waiting for a chance to get revenge for the lost final of 1974 :) Either way it will be a great match

Ich bin aghast!

What a crock o' crap that game was...

Still, neither finalist has ever won the cup so that's going to be cool, though I pray the final is at least a decent game of football.

Spread?! Lol! Sainsbury's in the UK were selling one vuvu every two seconds, Jimmy - I think the cat has left the bag. I just hope they don't ruin the Premier League for the Poms...

Heh heh! With the girl...not Vincent!

65,000 people are going to be very upset today.

...And 10 000 STD clinics...

Man oh man.....!

Twelve yellows and one red card and what certainly seemed like a lack of self belief made that one of the worst matches of the finals, and one neither side deserved to win.

Scrappy play and poor passing competed with clumsy tackling and lack of control for dominance. Gone was the crisp accurate ball control from the Spanish and the darting rebound attacks of the Dutch and flowing play was only glimpsed.

Blame the ref? Nope, all but one (perhaps) yellow card was justified and at least two players can count themselves lucky Webb didn't add a second yellow.

No doubt Spanish fans will be crowing and Dutch fans aggrieved, but as a neutral, I saw nothing to cheer...

Well the final was piss poor, in fact when I think about all the other games as well in general the whole tournament was a piss poor show, one of the worst I've watched for a number of reasons
