What;s your fav. time of the year?

I was sitting here thinking that Fall is pretty much -but not officially- over here in PA. I was reminiscing about a couple of months ago, September. I think September is my favorite time of the year. I made an awesome pizza with fresh basil and heirloom tomatoes ripe from my garden, picked loads of peppers, ate the end of the season corn on the cob, bbq'd, watched playoff baseball and the start of the football seasons, basked in the warm end of summer and pretty much loved life. Now it is getting colder, my plants are dead, baseball is over. Now it's just the dread that I will not have my own fresh peppers for another 8-9 months. So what is your favorite time of the year?

Being cold is, without a doubt, the worst feeling in the whole world.

Hmmmm Paul, I thought that was broke and sober.

Yeah, really. I don't mind the cold as long as i've got money for some brandy or whiskey or somethin else to "warm" me up......

I love between late Juli and mid of September cos it is the time of the year when I am off work and in the States visiting family for about three weeks. Late September then is harvest time.:hell:

SUMMER!
All the hard work of garden prep is behind you and you're watching your plants hopefully growing away.
It's not cold.
Open windows and a nice breeze in your bedroom at night.
Summertime activities.
Pretty ladies in shorts.
Love me some summer.

In Australia (in my area anyway) if you open your window at night in Summer time you will sweat like crazy and not get any sleep cause the temps can stay as high as 30C some nights....:( Not Fun...

def summer for me, where i am, we're bl**dy lucky to get any sun, so it's a bonus.you can shove the snow, rain & wind-we get too much of it as it is...& it does my chillies no good at all!
