Someone else will have to comment on the bulbs, more then likely you have it right, I use High out put sodium myself, heat and light kinda go hand in hand.

will be interesting to see what your adjustments are and how they turn out!

hey poopster, your plants don't look that bad for being a month old, i have some about the same size. your leaves look nice.

i do have to agree with spicy, i think it may be a heat issue and possibly humidity. i still have many of my plants in their heated germination chamber, i keep a jar of water on the mat and pump in CO2(i put sugar, water and yeast into a sealed jug with a hose attached to a small air stone and it is in the jar of water. when i check my plants every morning, they are nice and wet and the humidity is dripping off the clear plastic dome. all i have is a cheap CFL 6500K bulb pointing at one side of the chamber.

may i asked what you are feeding the plants with, other than the epsom salts? like spicy said, we are well into the 2 page and i bet by the time i press post, we will be on the 3rd page, i may have missed your feeding cycle.

Yo hp. I think you are watering too much!! Heh heh heh. I Think i drank too much. I will never overwater becuz of your posts. Thanks. Sorry to see your so small! Id mix up half viagra and half unobtanium in a pump. And apply to plant face?! Good luck. Sorry i had to

Well, the more and more I looked into it, it looks like a calcium or magnesium deficiency. I poured over people's threads, and looked at sites.
So, I was GOING to go to the store and get some sort of fert with calcium and/or magnesium. Right before I left, I remembered that I had a whole BRAND NEW bag of dolomitic lime that I bought last year, but never used any. Well, not any more!
From what I read, 220ppm was the general consensus to give a plant that needs calcium. I tried a 150ppm dilution just to be sure. I also gave them a small dosage of fish emulsion. Hey, these plants 2 1/2 months old, and this is only the 2nd time they have gotten any fish emulsion. I used MAYBE a teaspoon in 1 1/2 gallons of water. I doubt I over did it.
I also added a heat lamp to get a little extra heat in there. I guess the next 24-48 hours will let me know if I did the right thing. I HOPE it was because my first plant is about to kick the bucket...a habalokia.
I'll keep ya'll posted.

"Look Mamma, lil Timmy jus took his first step!"

mine were dead, I thought, for sure from getting dry. They perked up in an hour so who knows........

How you doing BC ........ See your posts around the forum, good stuff

thanks jeff, i enjoy your website and like to review your post showing your setup - i really like those raised beds encased in tubing, very clever. i was raised on a farm in southern ontario. now i am at the base of the rocky mountains, waist deep in snow and below zero weather.

unless I missed something the plants are almost 2-1/2 months old.

considering he planted in January, by the time they germinate, get their second set of leaves, i think poop will see a dramatic growth in a month or so - if he doesn't, then i would start to worry. just leaving the plants alone for an evening can fix things too!

......i was trying to be politically correct as well, i could have started giggling at how small them seedlings are.........i'm just kidding.... i think they are doing fine.

Sorry BC..I planted them in December, moved them to the pots you see them in (3" pots) in Jan. They should not be the size they are. Not to mention some of them have severely drooped in the last 24 hours. I'm hoping what I gave them earlier will perk them up and get them motivated.

okay, then let's look at what you are doing. knowing, doing less is more when it comes to peppers, you are doing something extreme, your plants looked fine to me. i started mine in december and they are doing fine. except a few... yep... there's always the few. every plant gets treated equally, no exceptions....with in reason, my hands can shake when i am fertilizing and i get leaf burn because i accidently splashed a load of ferts on a plant, happens all the time.

then, for no reason a plant will up and kak! no reason why, focus has to be on the healthy ones, because you can get a shity seed. it didn't mature enough in the pod.

i am prepping my BC's 2011 grow season and will include my successes but if possible will include my failures. i have an embassassing douglah, that i should just rip out of the soil and toss it. someone like AJ wouldn't even spend a single moment on a plant like it. he would just pull it and move on.

but, if your limited on what you can grow in confine space then you try to save everything.

so, what fertilizers, other than epsom salts are you feeding them? (i will go back and review your thread) - in the morning, when the wife and kids leave the house.
