The flower of the rhomb/cili doesn't make me wonder so much, check out C.friburgense and that crazy flower! Aside from the actual color and shape of the flower, all the other flower parts look capsicum to me,even the calyx.

The leaves really throw me off though. I haven't seen anything like them in any drawing or photos. The patern on the lignified stems is pretty unique too. I am a fan of the plant and will continue growing it.

I am starting to get ripe lance fruit I think. Hope they aren't rotting, they are a strange yellow color.

Sounds good to me, I do believe there are acouple of the Cap 501 x bhuts pods on my plant. So when they are ready I will send some your way along with some Blue mystery if they ever ripen
What are you using to take those macro pics Walt? Whatever your using to take those photos is doing a great job..

Sorry I missed the second part of your post. The phone is a Samsung Galaxy S3 my old phone... I gave it to my wife and got a new one but it sucks at macro shots. Damn Sony, lol.

Post some pics of the CAP 501 x bhut, curiosity is killing me and I'd like to see what they look like. I did see balanced characteristics in both the flower and plant.

Nice stuff guys.

@freeport,I can't imagine starting one of those now! You will have a giant on your hands by Thanksgiving.

@Nigel, very cool flower whatever that is. Are you getting single flowers per node or multiples?

@Vegas, nice pic. I hope I get to see more of the 501 x sali, I think there are a few people growing that F1. That looks 100 % chacoense. Have you seen any variation?

@Portuge, that pod is showing the characteristics I would expect from that cross.

Here is a flower shot of my flibu. This is definitely a tall praet...holy shit! Super hairy leaves too.

It got hit with some herbicide from the neighbor. That really set it back and then this terrible weather hasn't helped. The main branch took a beating from the chemical,it still has a burn you can kind of see in the top picture.

I had some really high hopes for this plant and it was on pace to outperform last years. It will not touch last years production now though, it may frost this month, who really knows!?!

The body of the plant is way nicer this year ,a lot fuller. Trying to keep these plant uniform and staked properly is almost impossible.

Nice Tovarii!! I'm growing that one fo sho next year! Those clusters of flowers is way too sexy ;).-Walt
It may hold up to your climate alittle better than some other wilds. That is an uneducated guess. They like full sun around here but our weather is way different than yours.

John, there is something different about the CAP 501 x Donne sali F1.

The first thing is that the calyx on all the pods have 10 teeth. One long and one short. I asked everywhere for pics of their CAP 501 and every single one had 5 teeth and short. The calyx on this one looks thinner too. Pics...

And question for all who already grown the Lanceolatum I'm getting numerous buds on my plant but they're slow. Is that normal?

CGN 21502 making buds now ;)

Need a bump and I'll post close ups of the flower on CAP 501 x Donne sali F1.

Dude was it me or has this place been on lockdown for the past couple of hours? Any ways awesome pics of your Cap 501.... Cap 501 x Donne Sali is looking great Walt, the pods looks like they are ready to pop...

Nice pic of the Cap. 501X Donne Sali F1 Walt.      John I hope you told your Neighbour that he needs to back off on his herbicides, a few years back the Road crew was spraying the ditches on a hot windy day and almost took out my whole garden that was 100 feet away, boy was I pissed I ended up losing 10 out of 30 tomato plants, t2 rows of bush beans and 5 melon plants and 2 bell peppers luckily none of my hot peppers were affected.
Your Tovarii looks like it is coming back ok from the spraying, how big is your fiber bag?
