Hey Gassy, coldest day in Brizzy in eleven years! Hope you have your woolies on! :D
So everyone keeps telling me! I seriously wasn't feeling it.... a singlet and my usual long sleeve business type shirt for work (not very thick material) and I was fine! They MUST mean coldest day on this particular date.... I really don't know - but I'm sure even last winter there were much colder days!

On the upside, 'twas at least a nice SUNNY day. :D

(Just a little tease before the rain starts tomorrow.....)

:censored:
Oh no got too snowed under and didn't check my plants yesterday and just went in and I have had a death in one of my seedlings in the rockwool cube :tear: It was a chocolate Trinidad Scorpion. Also my bloody expensive PH tester shat itself a couple of days ago and it was just out of the 1 year warranty.
Not too happy with the germination rates in the rockwool cubes either. Only about 50% in 20 days. Will go back to my jiffy pellets I think.
I hope things start getting better....

Ahhh not the TS Chock ahhhh. Any one but that!
Hope you have backup there Candice.

Hey so how how long will you be in hospital for? Adam might have his hands full just with the Chilli babies!

I know and then I told Adam about it last night and he said he saw 2 dead! So another one must of gone after I checked :( Do have back up but that will set me back a few weeks now.
Hmm doubt he will be keeping a good eye on them, I will probably get out and they will all be dead! Better pot them up before then to give them more of a chance. Will probably be in for 3- 7 days depending on how quick I recover. It would be better to get out quicker as it gets boring being in there so long but then again at least if i'm there I can relax a little and not run around after everyone and cook and clean etc!

Gee I feel bad for you Candice, I got 99 problems but a plant aint one. He he thought of that all by myself I did.

On a serious non JZ song note, I really do feel for you, I spent so much time focusing on my seeds that I let a couple of caterpillars go to town on my plants, I truely thought it was too cold for those gluttons. Its funny how plants start affecting your life ha ha I am planning to move to a bigger place just so I can plant more ha ha ha thats nuts I say. I agree with you, I think jiffys are the safest bet too.

Thanks Joey, it's all good and there was only 1 dead when I checked this morning so not sure what he was on about, the plants are probably the least of my problems though. Yeah there were some munching at mine outside too and after days of searching I finally found the little buggers. They match in so well with the leaves it's really hard to spot. It feels good to rip them off and stomp on them though :hell:
Yeah I want to move to a bigger place too, a minimum of 5 acres I reckon. You need room for your plants!
Yep prefer jiffys or trays with coco. We dismantled my big seedling grow chamber over summer and this time I'm going to try germintaing the majority of them in cells on a big heat cable in my hothouse. It is attached to a chicken wire sheet. It would be good if I can lay it down on something and cover with a small layer of sand to spread the heat so its not concentrated in one spot. I will probably do this start of July.

Yeah I've gottem all too, plus the blackberry bush is infested with about 3 different bugs including aphids and some type of scale. Just gonna rip it up and get rid of it and then maybe order some beneficial bugs.

Just some updates....

I'm sure it will all work out for ya. Here's to a bumper season!

Hey Gas, your plants are lookin darn excellent there. Nice and green!

Micca

Cheers guys!

They always do so well until they have to face the big bad outside world of extreme weather changes and mites. :(

Some more of my little guys....

Unfortunately I have only been able to maintain temps around 25C in my mini hot house at the moment and germination has slowed right down. :(

Been raining K-9's and Felines for the last four days here. No sun AT ALL!
So jealous of those plants Gas great stuff!
