I kind of would like to know what this might actually be. I just made a concentrate out of it and it had no label when i bought it. Some weirdo said they were red serrano, but they look most cayenne in shape to me.

I must know. They're yummy.

from the pic initially and before reading your comment I said they were Serrano....

look like a ripe red serrano (unlike the green sold commercially) to me

Perhaps the green ones were a different strain? I work in a produce shipping warehouse...I see these on a daily basis...only green...but they sure look like Serranos alright....

Serranos, both red and green on the same plant.

Serranos with which I am familiar are not so pointy as those pictured.

when I first looked at them, they looked like some kind of "carrot" pepper to me but they are red....

Am i just completely wrong about cayenne? Whatever they are, they made a tasty concentrate. I licked the spoon like it was cookie dough once i had em in the canner.

Yeah, we get those here in stores..usually just sold as "red chiles".
Have no idea what they are though. Looks like a Cayenne though.

How hot are they?

Not very. A mild to medium depending on your tolerance. Nice pods.
