You know what really grinds my gears?!?


The pitiful fact that some folks just can't let go of DALE BAKER AND HIS COMPANY.


I have been a member of THP for over a year now and witnessed all of the DRAMA.


LET IT GO PEOPLE!!!


I am sick of reading about Baker's peppers.


If he wants to run his business that way just avoid it. DAH

My Dad is 73 years old, and is about as honest as people get. Yesterday he tells me how he bought two big bags of peaches at the market and pays $16.00 (5+ kg of peaches) with a $50 note. On returning his change to his pocket, he looks down and sees a 10 cent coin on the ground and assumes that he had dropped it. So he proceeds to pick it up, at which point the cashier races around from the other side of the counter and says "that's not yours, that doesn't belong to you" and proceeds to make my Dad out to be a theif. So he tells the cashier that he had honestly thought he had dropped it, places the coin on the counter and leaves. 
 
I mean seriously, assuming someone is a theif for 10 cents? It's not like it would put a huge dent in their profits. Besides, if they knew it was there, why didn't they tell the person who dropped it?
 
Ruining my Dads day really grinds my gears.......... :evil:

It greatly grinds my gears that Dale is still in business, shipping larvae riddled pods to customers : -) I see your point, but I think the whining might save a couple of forum users from a crappy experience.

Not Dale in specific;

It really grinds my gears to see people growing up their first superhots with a lot of effort, lots of overwatering issues, dead plants, their first aphidcalypse etc just to end up with choco hab pods and having to be the guy that breaks them the bad news..

It's like buying your first good hot sauce and finding out you just bought great value ketchup with cayenne powder..

Agreed, on the one hand, Baker's has been gone a while, but the flip side of that is, it would be irresponsible of us to keep allowing one or two bad apples to ruin it for the rest of us and give us all a bad name... Being arbitrarily lumped into the same group as Dale and his ilk by those who were hoodwinked by him grinds my gears :P
 
been a lot of insomnia going on in our house... and sounds like others. Makes you wonder if there's a global phenomenon 
 
I have a long post inside my head, to write up some day when I have time - about tradition vs innovation - and how the answer is almost always "both" ...
 
People who go heavy either way, and polarize it, grind my gears ...
 
Kinda like the anti-gentrification here in NY that cry we are losing our city, which is true to a point, but there must also be progress. That mom and pop joint that's been there 100 years is cool and all, but if it sucks, and has vermin, let's see something new open there! I choose my battles. Like you said. Both.
 
A popular landmark bar closed here but it was the most horrid dive. I mean horrid. Like dudes peeing in the corner of the place was normal (there was this broom closet with no door drunks used as the toilet), and the bar serving warm bottles of beer straight out of the boxes they came in, to poop smeared on the wall. It closed and people cried. LOL!
 
Sorry if that's not related to what you mean.
