off-topic You know what really grinds my gears?!?

That's true.^^^

I replied saying I would respond during normal business hours. I feel like posting that "the shipping manager is out of the office until Monday." And let him stew over the weekend.

Then Monday, I could post that the fulfillment team is on strike and I can't get any information cuz they locked the computers in protest.

This could go on indefinitely...

Did you send your invoice with a statement via US Marshal escorted Pony Express?

seriously, though, as long as I confirm receipt of invoice, it's not a problem.

An inquiry from a customer that came in today-
"I'm orders supposed to be here today it's late and I have a tracking number that does nothing for me what kind of business is being ran here"

uuummm....a business that at least uses punctuation?!?!???

I am SOOO going to use Fullfilled by Amazon and let them deal with things like "I thought I was purchasing 16 million sauce and Pure Evil is obviously not 16 million."

aight, wining done, back to work in the morning~

how does the whole amazon thing work if you dont mind me asking?

always was curious about this... do you just ship amazon pallets of stuff and they send it out via one of their warehouses?

and how do you sell your stuff as prime ellegable?

It's the first time I've worked for him in ten years for the same reason.

10 years ago it was 75 days to collect my $18K

Now it's over 40 days to collect a mere $350.

I think I'm done for good with that asshole.

Waiting over 40 days to get paid.

Fuquen Bjornsen Construction strikes again. I swear, one of these days that dude is gonna get carpet rolled. :fingerscrossed:

think thats bad? try subbing for a firm thats payed by the city. you pretty much wait 60 days after the city waits 60 days to pay the primary. its insane, you pretty much have to bill services knowing you will have to float payroll for months.

billing to a client that we know pays in days is always going to be like 20% less.

That's all policies, bureaucratic paperwork, and corporate mumbo jumbo.

Bjornsen is an asshole.

He's a smug sumbitch because he has two kids in their second winter Olympics.

True story~

QQ~
I signed up as an Amazon Seller just over a year ago and I have been fulfilling all the orders myself.  I bought a Dymo 4XL thermal label printer.  I use quick-fold boxes and a bit of bubble wrap, all of which I pay for.  Amz does make it easy to buy shipping at a discounted rate from all the various shippers, I use USPS First Class because what I sell is small and light weight.  Using the Buy Shipping thru AZ saves me about .90 each, plus the time I'd have to spend at the PO standing in line, weighing and printing tickets for every box.....:banghead:

What I also have to deal with is....customers!  It hasn't been toooo bad, but there are knuckleheads that make you want to literally :banghead:.

I'm very close to utilizing the Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA), which is shipping my stuff to their warehouse and then they ship it out to the customers....for an additional fee......

Right now, for PE original, If I use FBA, it would cost me $4.50 per unit.  What that gets me is-
no $2.75 USPS shipping
no Dymo labels .01?
no shipping box .75
no additional PE labels on the outside of the shipping box .10
no bubble wrap .01
no 10 minutes per order- typing on the computer to print out the label, packing the tin in the shipping box, applying the label, driving to the PO....
no dealing with dumbass customers who moves from TX to GA and when they didn't get the order shipped to TX(cuz they didn't check the mailing address on their Amz account when they placed the order!!!) want me to ship a replacement to GA for free.... What is that worth? $$$$$$$$

Just winging it, it costs me about $3.75 in costs of labels, shipping and boxes to send out one item,...plus my time to go to the PO and deal with customers.   For an additional .75 per order and they take care of everything....that's looking pretty tempting!

I don't know about Prime Eligible, I haven't gotten that far into it yet.  You can buy listing preferences, things like...you bid .10 per click to have your bath towels come up as the first listing offered when a customer searches bath towels.  But if someone else bids .11 per click, they get the first listing, and you get 2nd listing.  I don't know how all that works, but apparently it's worth it ti buy yourself a higher listing when someone searches.

It's all more $$$ for Amz, and at this point, they are getting enough.  If I do use FBA, they'll be getting even more.  BUT...one other benefit is, they have the item in stock so I don't have to be around, or even on the grid, and the product is getting shipped out.

Hope this helps.

One big gear grinder for me... being on vacation and still getting called for tech support, even after telling others not to call and ask. Usually when someone calls me 3-4 times in a row, my first thought was that a relative died or had fallen severely ill, and I should pick up, but no, it was because they couldn't get to Facebook....
