Fiddy's Oktoberfest Barbequeden

I wanted to take Fusion somewhere it has never been.
I happen to think traditional AMERICAN BACKYARD GRILLIN' is a wonderful part of our heritage.
Burgers. Dogs. Dad wearing an apron, smacking mom on the ass with a spatula over a charcoal weber grill.
You get the picture.

So I decided to blend this piece of Americana with traditional German food. The kind my ancestors ate.
The kind I ate when I visited the Fatherland.

I blended traditional American burgers, buns, slaw, and french fries with...
Frikadeller, Scratch-made Pumpernickel Buns, red cabbage slaw, and Crinkle Cut Kartoffelsalat (Hot German Potato Salad...bacon included)

I grinded my own meat too. Wankey Wankey!

All of this was washed down with an Octoberfest Beer made from an American Brewery, Yuengling...how appropriate!
This was the real deal, y'all.

Here's a close up of the potato salad, served with beer! I added heat to the sauce with RM's Habapeno powder and pickled japs on the burger.

Fiddy's Frikadeller Fusion

Blended American Backyard with Traditional German.
Made Frikadeller burgers with Crinkle Cut hot potato salad.
Served on homemade pumpernickel buns and red cabbage slaw.

The burger was the pump. bun, homemade fatali mustard, baby spinach, 2 Frik patties, pickled japs, topped with red cab slaw. A little man gravy on top for good measure.

The warm potato salad was crinkle cut fries (the kind mom used to make), tossed in a sauce made of vinegar, water, sugar, bacon, bacon drippings, dill, and some of Rocketman's smoked habapeno powder.

The beer was mostly Busch light, accented every hour or so with a Yuengling Octoberfest...the perfect fusion of American shit beer with a German style lager.
