    About naga morich

This year my Naga Morich seeds from Nicky's seeds came up in 5-6 days. My Dorset Naga seeds from Reimer seeds took about a week longer. I started both in the same soil and pots etc and kept the soil/room temp at 80-85 deg F.

    Starting

I agree with most of the others about shallower planting depth. I've always done about 1/8th to 1/4 inch deep and had great germination rates. I keep the soil/room at 80-85 deg F. I think at 6 inches deep the seed won't have enough energy in it to make it to the surface for some light energy. If...

    Peppers not Growing

I am having the same problem. This has been a wierd year for me. The last couple years my peppers have been very productive and easy to grow but this year sucks. Most all of my C. Chinense varieties are doing the same thing you are talking about. I have some Naga Morich and Fatalii pods that...

What is happening to my Red Savinas

I've given them a good dose of epsom salts about 5 days ago and have not seen any improvement. I've been scared to overfertilize as I have read that peppers dont need a lot of fertilization and they have all had a healthy dose of soluble fert in the soil about a month ago. They have grown very...

    Post your Fatalis

I wasn't aware of that Potawie I thought they were seperate companies. I noticed that Turf Builder lawn fertilizer was made by the same company as Miracle Grow, Scotts in Mississauga Ontario but I didn't realize that Plant-Prod products Co Ltd./Spectrum Brands from Brantford Ont. was owned by...

I've used tomato, vegetable fertilizer 15-15-30. Its a water soluble feed similar to miracle grow from a company called plant-prod. I also put some bone meal in the soil when I potted them up into the 5 gal pots and I've recently given them a dose of epsom salts.

What is happening to my Red Savinas

This has rescently started happening to my Red Savina peppers and my carribean reds. The top new growth, leaves and flower pods ate a very pale yellow , nearly white. Any ideas what it may be? The other peppers dont have it and they have the same soil , feed , sun etc. This is only happening...

How long from first pod showing till Burning Mouth ?

Just wondering if you guys with all the experience here can remember what is the average time from the first pod peeking out of the flower till it ripens. I'm talking varieties like Fatali, Naga, Habs etc. Just an average, assuming fair sun, warmth, soil etc. I've only grown them 2 years...

Any way, from what I recall they grew to somewhere between 24 to 30" and quite bushy. I can't remmeber what size containers they...

Heres some pics of my Fatali's. They were started indoors from seed March 30 and moved outside into a greenhouse May 1 and then moved onto the shed roof May 18. Had about a month of real foul weather at that point. Very unseasonably cold and rainy. All of the c.chinense varieties basicilay...

    Hot Portugal Pepper,, Anyone Growing?

I grew some Hot Portugal in containers last year and the plants were quite large and productive. The peppers were up to 8" long and were quite tasty and relatively mild(for heatlovers anyway). My wife quite liked them as she finds a lot of the other peppers I grow to be way too hot for her.

    Different growth rates.

I have Naga Morich and Caribbean reds growing this year along with several other habanero types and the Naga plants are around 16" tall compared to the Carbbean Red and Red Savinas that are around 10" to 11" tall. Actually most of the other Habaneros are 10 to 14" tall. The only other chinense...
