Nice offer there..we had 185 plants out this year. & have dozens of seeds. May look into some more..we had a good crop all in all after we took a beating from the weather. Have 8 gallons of dried pods..

We also have the Excaliber dehydrator. Works really well.

We use a coffee grinder also for grinding as we can vary the powder to fine or flakes. It has 3 different settings on it.

We have some frozen ones & I dont think I would put them in the dehydrator now..too much moisture. We have another 5 trays in now & at least another 10 to go.

Patrick, yes it is a cash crop for some items. We dont sell everything. We make alot of hot pepper powder/flakes. I have several people who buy from me. We use alot of our peppers in our salsas. The degrees symbol..press & hold alt & type numbers 248 on the key pad .Then release the alt key...

We made some paste style salsa today..7 pints Everything was chopped by hand..took a long time but well worth it when you taste the stuff. We used mainly mild peppers in it & 1 red hot cherry..1 red hab..1 fatali(sp) (yellow) & 1/4 of a Bhut real nice taste.. Tomorrow we will go out & pick a few...

If only we could have 2 weeks more of this warm weather..it is about 80 today & temps are suposed to fall after today. Thanks for all the nice comments..:)

Thanks..we have alot on the plants yet..now if our weather stays reasonably warm..ha ha this is MN..we will get many more..PharmerPhil says they are my peppers..but he weeds em & feeds em..& waters em. wait a minute...they are mine!!:P :lol: .by the way we have 180 plants out..3 16x20 tarps...

Wrennie got the seed mix from us but we didnt have any Jalapenos of any kind in the mix we sent out. These plants werent isolated and there were several varieties growing together.

We have a whole lot of the red carr. in the freezer..they did great last year. We isolate a different variety each year or as many as we have room for.

We have a Thai & Fish pepper cross. Real intresting pepper. Held true now for the last 2 years.

We rubbed a hot pepper on our house plants. The cat thinks he needs to chew on em daily. He quit untill the pepper wore off.
