My newest Big Jim grew an appendage, looks like a snail!

Looking for some advice on why this is happening.... Only hits my Big Jims, the other 20 ish species are doing fine. Out of my 5 Big Jim plants, all have had at least one pepper "rot", and the average is close to 75% bad.
