misc Anti caking? Powders and spices

I found this topic, and see there are some questions about NU FLOW. I use it in my spice mixes and it works great. Sorry for adding to a long gone topic. However I figured I would drop my .02 for those who are interested. I use it in my curry powders, rubs etc. You cannot see it in the spices...

    Sorry for my absence

Hello all, Masaladon here, I have been absent for... well a long time as life took over and my gardening and canning turned into a full fledged business now. So I am back, and cannot wait to get back into the hot sauce, hot food and pepper talk.

    ghost tales

I planted two plantes this year and have had a huge bounty of peppers, about 20 peppers each plant. Seen nothing like it, and mine are finally turning. So soon it will be Curry time. For some reason I cannot upload the pics, telling me extension not allowed on this site.

    smoking My own house ribs

These are my ribs that I make, and the locals come asking for them. I actually have made these on request as sort of a take out lol. I rub em, then use my Fiery BBQ Sauce to top em off. The Rub: 1 TBS Red Pepper flakes 1 TSP Cumin 1 TSP Coriander 1/2 TSP Salt 1 TSP Pepper 2 TBS Paprika 1 TSP...

    Habanero Pina Hot Sauce

I do this once in awhile. 1 Can Pineapple chunks (with juice) 2 Habs diced up pinch of salt 2 TBS cider vinegar I puree it, boil it for 20 minutes, puree it again, and then use it as a spoon on sauce for chicken off the grill, or dipping for chicken strips. I like the way Habeneros and...

    condiment Fiery BBQ Sauce

THP.com Actually it really is not that much. The brand I use is not super intense (Wrights Hickory), so it works well for such a large batch. I tried to once put 1 cup of Becks beer in it, however it turned out a tad loose. The flavor is nice on just about all meats, I used it on some Sword fish...

    condiment Fiery BBQ Sauce

Okay so I do not have forum members at my door this evening with torches and a rope here they are. I also am posting a pic of my label with my drunken cow symbol I use for my sauces. 1 TBS GREEK SEASONING MIX 6 TBS LIQUID SMOKE - YES I POSTED 1, HOWEVER IT WAS A FINGER SLIP. And Rooze, of you...

condiment Classic Sweet BBQ Sauce with a kick

Oh I think Dark Brown Sugar works the best for BBQ sauces. I tried Maple Syrup onc and really it did not do my sauce justice. However the plumbs I have seen used here in several BBQ sauces and I think I might do a short batch next weekend is try em out.

    condiment Fiery BBQ Sauce

I have been canning BBQ sauce for years, however recently a few co-workers have tried it and asked for more. One co-worker demanded a "spicey" version as he stated to me that he was a hot sauce and pepper "meister", so I made a batch. I admit I impressed my self and trust me that is easy to do...

    hot-sauce TABASCO® Family Reserve

I had a bottle given to me as a gift and I am going to review it here / compared to normal Tobasco. APPEARANCE: The reserve is a little thicker, not by much. The color (my bottle) is a little deeper more red. Cute packaging though, I was not impressed with the chain though. SMELL: Tobasco...

    Saffron's Kalamazoo Michigan

I am a very big curry lover. I think I am a natural fit for this forum as I tend to eat and make the hotter more spicy curries. Saffron's located in Kalamazoo Michigan is a natural spot for me. They at first glance are not impressive, as they are located in one of those mini style malls, the...

    cilantro

Now this is interesting. I love Coriander, and can eat Cilantro in Curries as long as the pieces are small. Other than that, I cannot stomach the taste of it. The taste makes me literally want to gag. I asked my Doctor about it and he said that a very small portion of the population is allergic...
