I grow exclusively indoors and cayenne in particular.
That plant is way too large for that tiny cup.
Cut down your watering, as stated above it is probably from overwatering. I have my plants in a Window with 25 cfl bulbs and a fan on them constantly and I may water only once every week to ten...
Awesome post... I only grow indoors as I live way up north and only have a window facing north (lots of cfl bulbs) I have one cayenne plant that has been growing and producing for over a year and it's still throwing out pods... i've hacked the thing down about 5 times... I just started this...
LOL I actually just bought a lemon at the grocery store for cooking and on a lark just stuck a seed in a jiffy pellet. Ten days later had a seedling. I'm shocked how big it got in such a short time. Even if it never produces a lemon its a great looking plant.
Using 26 watt cool white cfl bulbs. 13 in total and 2 x2 foot fluorescent bulbs for 18 hours on. Mmmmm chili oil sounds good gotta try that. What kind of oil works well?
This is my setup.
Living in an apartment in northern Canada has been a bit of a challenge but thanks to a lot of great info from the members here its been fairly successful. The two cayennes got a little big so a month ago I chopped. Them right down and they came back like weeds. The one has two very large and...
I just did this with one of my cayennes and it worked great. Just stuck the branch that the pepper was on in a glass of water and in about 12 days it ripend fine.
Nope don't want to grow in a tent as I like the looks of the pepper plants as well.
Yep I love the cfl's I can move them around easily to whatever the plants may need.
Wow. After waiting over a month for the green cayenne to turn red they're turning red faster and faster...
And my sugar...
I've definitely considered enclosing it all for the added light. Since the setup is right in my living room I was also shooting for a compromise between effectiveness and esthetics, I love the look of plants indoors. I like the cardboard idea however and that way I can surround it when not...
Thx elcap. I actually picked a green one and took it to the lake so we could all try a nibble. Very hot for a cayenne :onfire:
tyler I use numerous cfl grow bulbs. I have 11 placed above and beside the plants. I've had no real issues so far. Plants are about two feet high and fairly bushy as...
My cayenne plant has numerous pods that have been full size for well over a month. Saturday I went to a golf tourney then to the lake and they were still green. Came home sunday and noticed one was changing color. Came home from work today and it's almost all red. They'll turn color when they're...
Hi all. Well considering I live way up north almost to where the polar bears live i'm extremely happy with the results of my indoor apartment garden. The cayenne peppers on the oldest plant are growing extremely fast and the jalapeno plants are starting to produce huge amounts of flower...
The cfl bulbs are actually plant grow lights. The shop light is just the fixture. I put in plant/aquarium tubes in it. plants seem to love them.
