Verry Berry Punch (Chocolate Moruga sauce)

I am not a huge fan of sweet flavours and not huge on the idea of sweet+spice either, but I wanted to make something different. Used 20 chocolate morugas and 3 aleppos (before they go bad in the fridge). Dark jar in upper right is deseeded blackberries (through a strainer, homegrown), bought...

nutrients Nute/ Watering plan for 2015

Nice list, check out my 1 year old chocolate moruga in the Brown Moruga Thread. :surprised:   Let me know how the Cheiro Roxa tastes as well... been meaning to grow it for awhile now.   After those 4 weeks of watering you have laid out are over, will you go back to step 1?

Looking very healthy CAPCOM! Eager to see how they turn out by the end of the season.     A couple of my pods have finally started to change colours!

    Hydroponic / Aquaponic subforum?

Interesting. When I ran my aquaponics setup I ran with guppies as well. Now they are just living in a plain old aquarium with a filter though. They are breeding like crazy... not sure what to do with all the fry since. Will be overpopulated soon.

    Hydroponic / Aquaponic subforum?

Looking good, but yea fruiting trees is a different beast, you should def. keep the aquaponic system / crayfish alive though if you have the space. How deep is that grow bed, and how much gravel is in there? Might be the perspective of the video but looks a little bit shallow.     I ended my...

soil Soil vs Hydro starts experiment

Ok cool, look forward to the results.   I usually never give any nutrients to seedlings until I see true leaves. If I understand correctly you have already dosed them, although very lightly?

soil Soil vs Hydro starts experiment

Followed!   Is this for the purpose of seeing what grows best during seedling stage only? Do you have any intention of following through with your kratky grown seeds into a larger hydro setup or transfer to soil?

    Hydroponic / Aquaponic subforum?

Awesome SentencedToBurn! I am running a couple of hydroponic systems outdoors atm, going very well. I did an indoor Aquaponic system, it worked well but I only did greens. There are people growing fruiting trees successfully with aquaponics using a dual pot system to supplement deficiencies...

    George's 2015 - Yokohama Down In Flames

Might just have to run down to seiyu to see check that out! Your plants aren't getting a little bit bored of the cloudy skies and rain yet? Gimme some sun damnit!

    Hydroponic / Aquaponic subforum?

I don't know anything about sterile dirt, but yea aero would def. fit in there. Will probably build a small aeroponics system in the future just to see how it works.

    Hydroponic / Aquaponic subforum?

Would anyone else be interested in a sub-forum dedicated to growing (mainly peppers) hydroponically? At the moment both "Grow Tech" and "Growing Peppers" would both be fitting forums to ask questions regarding hydro related issues / ideas I guess, but it's easy to get lost there among all other...

    George's 2015 - Yokohama Down In Flames

Very nice looking plants George! Tipsy is hella' cute!   Where are you getting your felt pots from? They look different from mine. Bought mine online through a hydro store, price itself wasn't that bad but the shipping was ridiculous (千円+). Don't want to go through that again.

    Is this normal?

They look too young and the new growth look very healthy and eager to grow. I would not top just now, IMO(it's not necessary at all in fact, do what you feel is right and see what works for you). I would just let them run their natural course at the moment.   As you said, let them dry out...

    Brown Moruga Thread

Bumping post with more pod pics... just to be clear they are of the Chocolate variety              One of many possible group shots:       Foliage is crazy thick so really difficult to see most of them at the moment since they are still tiny, these are some of the larger ones...

3 year old grape vine, first year fruiting1

They are of the Kyoho variety, meaning they will grow rather large, also I am happy that I can make wine from them if I want... not a big fan of sweets and fruit. I will probably end up giving them away at least this year.        Thank you, I realised that. I cut back all low hanging leafs and...

3 year old grape vine, first year fruiting1

Yes that seems to be the case. You mentioned letting sunlight in... I think I will try that later in the season. The foliage is quite thick. I also pick the very small fruits that just won't get any larger than a BB bullet.     No they haven't been sprayed with anything. I plan, after the...

3 year old grape vine, first year fruiting1

Thanks for great info and first hand experience. I trimmed the vines late December and only left the main vines, it turned out very effective. I amended the soil in autumn as well.   As for the variety... its pitch black outside right now, but I will go out and check tomorrow morning, still...
