CMPMAN1974 - 2012 Grow Log - Started 2/26/12

Well, after a long awaited time, I finally got some seeds in dirt this evening. Wow, it took a long time as some of these names of these varieties are long. :) My theme this year...Pequins/Tepins - rare ones & AFRICA. Also, I think some rare Brazilian varieties will be planted too along with some Pubescens in the next few days. I have no idea how germination will be on some of these African varieties, but it should be fun. I enjoy market varieties and odd stuff found off the beaten path.

Here's what I've got sowed to date. Wish me luck!

Chris

Wow, lots of pequins to keep you busy pickin' :)
Can you tell us anything about Trinidad Douglah - SR - New ('2011)

Brian, don't you Chris grows everything in a bunker underground. He doesn't grow plants only pods. :halo:

Great list Chris best of luck

Whoa, a very ambitious grow, but if anyone can pull it off it's you. I don't envy your future harvest of all of those tiny pods ya have started, but I can't find the pubes in your list. Ya mentioned em but I don't see em?

Patrick, I can get in 200-250 plants in my backyard garden. :) I'll be at my limit once adding a few more. Thanks for confirming that name change on the SB7J too.

You renting the north 40 from your neighbor this year Chris? That's one wicked list of peppers my friend.

FYI I ended up labeling the 7 Pot Jonah "Grass Hut" cross SB7J for Scotch Bonnet 7 Jonah cross. Easier for me to remember what I believe it to be. I'm growing a few of TPGM's Caramel Bhut's too, I really liked the coloring.

Best of luck to you man.

YES, definitely am growing it as promised. It's on the sow list in the next few days. Excited about it!

Very nice chris, any chance if growing kashmiri mirch i sent? Mine is already putting out flowers and pods. :)

Sara sent me some new seeds of this last year. Most likely they will be the same, but I wanted to keep the seeds separate in case they are not. No worries, I won't be calling them the Super Improved Douglah - Model #2 unless damn special. lol. Maybe Hershey 7 Pot? Cocoa 7 Pot?

Didn't sow the Pubescens yet. I will this week. :)

Just crazy! I am growing about 1/4 that many varieties...and already having trouble keeping them straight! Can't wait for the pics!

Have a great season,
Shane

Very interesting worldly approach, this will be fun to watch and learn. And I volunteer to be on a Pequin panel if you need a taste tester....

Just updated my grow list again. This should be close to final. :) Sowed another 60-70 seeds! I'm looking forward to seeing what all these Brazilian varieties put out too, especially ones from the Amazon and all these Murupi strains.

Chris

That may be able to be arranged. :)

I've been super busy and figured you'd have these started already. If you're interested, I've got seeds from a very nice Red Rocoto to send your way. Big pods and early (for a pube). I just pulled off an extra ripe pod for seeds this AM. I'll post them to you tomorrow.

Amazing list as usual. Can't wait to see the best new ones you've uncovered.

I like the variey of pequins. I have some interesting pequins this year to grow with the Texas natives. Thanks again for sharing some seeds with me Chris.

Very nice list Chris. Best of luck this season.
