D3monic's 2015 Glog. Lots of Pods.

I had a great 2014 growing year and can't wait to get started on 2015. Had some issues with overwinters and aphids but I ditched them and nuked the basement. Here is last years Glog link

I just went through and cataloged my current seed list. Built up a bit of a collection over the course of the winter.

Edited seed list to just a drop box file on 1/31/15 CLICK HERE FOR SEED LIST If you have anything on my wanted list feel free to give me a shout.

I will keep this first page updated as I add things to the grow. Many still to get germinated.

I can only hope to be blessed with too many pods. Going to make sauces, freeze, ferment, smoke and dehydrate. This is the year of experimentation. Grow a little of everything and decide what I really like. Next yearwill be focused on taste and crosses.
This is exactly what i am doing, growing as much as i can to see what i really like.  Plants look great by the way.

I put the plants out at 7am while it was still only in the 30's, left them out all day until it was dark and cool again. Going to start trying to get them to adapt to wide temp swings.

Had mine outside for 36 straight hours, finally brought them in last night as the low was supposed to be 48.  Figured I would give them a rest and a good watering.  Mother's day is the rule of thumb plant out date, but Mother's day is the following Sunday and the temps are going to be in a 80/53 range for all of next week.  I will be planting as much as I can on Sunday....time for them to leave the nest.

Your plants look great.   Looks like they are ready to go out as well.

I fcking hate shift work on weekends. God damn household can't seem to respect that I get home at 6:30am bed by 7 up at 2-3 back to work at 5pm

Kitchen right off the bedroom, wifey making tons of noise all day, mowed the grass right outside bedroom window did dishes twice waking me up 20 min a pop slamming shit around and then running the horribly loud dishwasher then has the nerve to snap on me because I said something... Ugh. Less than two hours to play in garden before I have to go back

A few plants with pods

Aji omni color

Aji crystal

Inca berry

Xalapas jalapeno

Urfa Beiber

I know peppers are supposed to be self fertilizing but seems like my Fidalga roxa flowers only have stamen. I can't spot and stigma on them. Plant  was one the first to throw flowers and is fully loaded with them but not a single pod has formed.

Pulled a bunch of weeds and turned the fence garden beds out in the pepper garden. Added a bunch of perlite. I was hoping to get a bunch tilled into the main beds but I gotta leave for work and it's supposed to rain the next few days :( Peppers going into ground as soon as work and weather cooperate.

Im kinda of mad at myself for not doing more research on the Aji's varieties to add to my grow list. Love that Aji Crystal

Me too so far, being pleasantly surprised by the plant. Will probably add a few more to the grow next year. I have two plants going this year. Hopefully the pods live up to the hype. Hit me up in the fall and I will gladly send down some seeds. Baccatum are quickly becoming some of my favorite pepper types.

Michael your Xalapas Jalapeño is this a plant you have grown beforehand. Personally not a variety I have heard of ..... UK chilli forum challenge is to grow longest/thickest variety this season ..... I have nine Jalapeño varieties growing at the moment all sourced from "MeatFreak" will be watching yours with envy should it grow really big

No this is my first year growing it, it's a land race Jalapeno from the town of Xalapa Mexico. I got the seeds from Capcom. I'm growing that one and the "fooled you" Jalapeno this year.

Plants out enjoying some sun before the storms come in.

Some the plants coming back in around the grill patio

%dandielions... we put down some weed killer but they went to seed today :(

Got most the weeds pulled and tilled in a giant bag of perlite. Look at that rich sexy soil. Laid out the drip lines, got a few I have to fix and change up. ...Damn it only has the fence in focus. After i'm done eating I will get more pics
