Pickles will be burying me next week.  I have tons close to ready, tons that are just getting going, and tons that are about an inch long.  It has either been perfect weather for them this year, or switching to a new spot has really been the ticket.

Mine have been pretty spotty. Bees were late coming around, and now that they are here, they're more interested in the flower flowers, not the cuke flowers. The vines growing along the ground are getting fertilized by ants, but the ones on the trellis.. meh. Not good. I've pulled a dozen off and seen 200 flowers hit the ground.

This last winter we had was frigging brutal.

Farmer that farms my place gave let me pick all the sweet corn I wanted.  I had some of this from a market last year and found out what kind it was and where they got their seed and the farmer bought the seed after I gave him the heads up.  Sweetest corn I have ever had.  I ate my very first raw ear of corn today.  Ever.  Don't know why it took me so long.

So now I have blueberries to pick tomorrow and corn to process.  So much for a day off!!!  But this is a fun kind of busy.

Everything is looking real good this year Jeff. Earlier this year, you wrote about being disappointed in the garden's progress, but I'm not seeing it. Looks great.

Tomato patch! wow. How many plants are in there?

I believe there are 36 tomato plants out there with two rows being better boys.

In case anyone wants to try this corn, it is called sweet surprise and the seed is sold by rispensseed.com  I'm telling you it is like eating candy.  Had my first raw ear ever and it was delicious.

Only got 22 1/2 pounds of blueberries today.  Hoping 67 pounds is enough to get me through winter.
