HOT dogs

I think it is high time that we start giving one of the US' trademark foods it's due. There are a million ways to make a hot dog, and I have had many, but I have a freezer full of hot dogs (I seem to never be able to pass them up when on sale), and I need some ideas. I propose this thread as a place to show off your hot dog prowess. Let's make them creative and of course HOT! I don't have a get started pic as this just came to me and I have just eaten, but I promise to chime in with some pics soon. In the meantime, what is YOUR favorite dog?

I just tried the Chicago style hot dogs this past Monday evening at the tailgate for the Giants Monday Night game.  I didn't get the rolls right, mine weren't poppy.  But, I did good on all the other ingredients.  I had picked up a jar of Pickled Sport Peppers from Walmart online.  I initially didn't like the idea of tomatos on the dog but everything worked out great.  I would definitely go that style again.  For those interested, that style of hot dog has its own webpage:  http://hotdogchicagostyle.com/

Definitely growing Sport peppers next year so that I can pickle the sh*t out of them.

I love good hotdogs such as Nathans and Hebrew National. Kirkland, Applegate or Trader Joes are good in a pinch too. I only buy all beef hotdogs and prefer Kosher brands. Years ago a local place offered a Reuben Dog. Basically its just a hotdog with Rueben toppings. I sure wish someone made a hotdog from cornbeef or even pastrami.

Ive put sauerkraut on hotdogs and brats for as long as i can remember. One day i added some hot sauce and fell in love with them. I then had another brainiac moment!!!

Reuben dog meet kimchi. In this case it happens to be a jalapeno sausage with some added lemon drop peppers.
