You are welcome, [emoji16]. You are definitely doing better with the wilds than what I can do [emoji106][emoji16].

I'll be sure to save some seeds for you so
you can give them a try next season, Bryan!

incredible looking plants!   im hoping I can catch up with you guys.   the little guys I have are giving it all they have.
They will get there, Scott! Once their roots fill
their pots, they will have a surge in growth.

Cool wild varieties Paul. I'm partial to my Pequins too.

My first try with most of these, Rick . I have grown the tepins,
chiltepins and chacoense mostly. I'm looking forward
to the variety.

I am interested to watch these wild varieties as I have very little knowledge of them.

It will be a learning experience for me, as well, Sleeper.
Glad you are along for the ride!

Wow killer trunks on those beasts!

Yeah I will have to use a chopstick to assist some of my plants to help stop some from growing with a lean
It always amazes me how they grow
so fast the stick looks insignificant!

Thanks, Sleeper!

The stems are a result of 20 minutes or so
a day of fan blowing across the plants. It
really doesn't take much.

Unfortunately the rocotos don't get that
advantage!

Just about all the c. chinense have forked
at the sixth node. Watching closely to see
if any topping needs to be done. We are at
about five weeks since the first hooks.

Same for the rocotos. Seven have forked. The
San Andres Orange is still way behind the others.
These forks are big enough to photograph.

This is what I didn’t want to see- forks growing
out sideways. I am thinking of topping the Rocotos
when they start putting out lateral branches:

Maybe leaving 6 leaf nodes, after trimming, for
the laterals?

Comments?

Sorry about the screwed up posts.
Uploading pix really wonky today for
some reason.

Sometimes it's like my browser is
rebelling. Maybe it's the beginning
of the rise of the machines
