Silver_Surfer's Soggy Setback 2013

When the ground almost gets dry enough to work, it rains again.

Plants are long past ready and beginning to get root bound.

More rain today. At least the SE no longer suffers from a drought.

Awesome to see your glog fired up for 2013. This is one I have been waiting for. Great looking plot and great varieties to fill it. Can't wait to see the plot all filled it!

Great to see your plants are looking good, SS! Best of luck this season and I look forward to your findings about a couple of varieties on that list ;)

One hell of a list, S.S. been looking for a yellow primo and a yellow moruoga blend as I'm growing both red forms I hope you have good luck with them and all the others.

Looking good SS, if you need end of the season help again I'll be there man. Seriously thanks for that last year.

Also, I'm going to be sending some Sepia Serpents off to get the SHU tested. I'll let you know the results when I get them back

Thanks, good to know I can count on some help. :)
I wouldn't expect any record breaker, but would enjoy to see some numbers behind the pain.

 lookin good! My very first THP peppers came from one of your auctions. Can't wait to see some pod porn.

No sepia serpents?

Yep, 2 different selections of the Douglah x Scorpion are started, one of which is the SS. Thanks
Hope ya enjoyed the pods.

This will be one to follow! Plants look awesome, and I hope the rain quits for ya!

Hope the rain dodges me this weekend. Thanks

Beautiful plot can’t wait to see dem beauties planted, hope the rain lets up for you ^_^

Thank you.
I just saw on the news that at this time last year 57% of the corn crop had been planted by farmers; this year only 12% has been planted. Guess I'm not alone running behind schedule.

Appreciate it. The plants are chomping at the bit too. :)

That makes two of us. :) On a side note, got 100% germ on all I buried. ;)

Impressive list ss

Only time will tell how impressive it is. ;) Thanks

Check with me later this season and if all goes well I'll have some seeds for ya. :)

Great list SS! I love Fatalii's and have seen pics of the Fatalii Chocolate. What's the Fatalii Cream like? Is it similar in taste to the regular Fatalii?

Hell yes you can count on me man. I'll come help you harvest anytime you want me to. And I'll be sending the sample off Monday so I should have the results next week. I'll send you the numbers and let you post them up.

And I work from home and own my own business so you just tell me when to be down there friend.

I'm with you on the damn rain. I grow in containers so it didn't affect me as much but it still sucks

SS: am right there with ya--your plants look gorgeous as usual, but I suppose one can, "overharden"--we got 6" rain in 24 hours. With the Blackberry Winter, I demand Indian summer, ha! Gorgeous as usual, man and thanks for the suggestions; you were right and not being a fertigation purist does help ;) . Oh, for perspective, my bro's bottom land--he walked down the road, incline, stopped 50 yards short of 4 acres bottom-land: 6 feet under water. River flooding. Best hon, and how ya like them lows forecast Monday and Tues. May 13/14? "Unreal city."--T.S. Eliot

You need to invent a "pepper snorkal", keep them plants breathing even with the floods. Looking forward to watching your grow SS.

Lookin' forward to finding out myself; first time growin' it.

Ya got pods already? What kind of sample ya have?

Whew, 6" of rain! Not under water here yet (on a hill), but more than wet enough. Damn tired of the 40's and they sure feel wrong in May. The critters are wondering where the plants are too.

Yeah, I completely missed them. It was late and, well, loved the pods. I have some seeds going right now.

Good, best of luck with your grow.

Hmmm, dunno how that would work. :) Cross a pepper with seaweed.

Time to swim in your pods again. Need to save money for some auctions!!

Hopefully some pods will be harvested this season.

No pods yet but I had a ton frozen that I'll be turning into powder. The place doing the HPLC tests is called southwest bio-labs and they only need a tablespoon of powder so I figured I can handle that :-)

Yea the water content will make a difference, that's what the guy there told me, but it's only $50 and I'm just really curious so I figured I'd just send it off. I'll probably be sending a bunch more off once I get pods and I'll send fresh dried serpents off and see the difference in results

Ya do know only one of the several Douglah x Scorp plants I grew last season was selected for saved seeds as the SS.

I'm growing one other selection too made from those plants and the selection process continues. :)

Yea if I remember you had 7 Douglah X Scorpion plants last year? Well I dunno if these pods came from the one you designated as serpents but it's still the same cross right? You just doing selection based on size, shape, and plant characteristics and such?

Yeah, size, shape, heat, taste and plant characteristics. ;)
