Or maybe... Portuge and I have you covered on the hybrids LOL, and maybe others here too. If we can help you some guys on here can help you grow what you don't have room for and you can just chill with the varieties you want to grow and of course we can share the goods at the end of the season. We got your back Lol! You must keep growing tho :D. -Walt
Thanks Walt ...

Those are interesting questions. How many fairly unique strains do you have?  I think the idea of keeping some really rare strains going, while growing some you like to eat, is a good idea.  However, it kind of depends on how large that list is.  You've got the touch though, so at the very least, keeping some of those wilds going, or some of your favorite crosses is a neat idea because you are skilled enough to do it.  Just my two cents.

Went out and snapped some pics of some very beautiful ladies today, don't let me keep you waiting so here we go!
Starting off is Ms. Queen Laurie x yw Bhut F2

Last picture for today, it doesn't look like that these two plants have grown any taller. Since I repotted them into the 1gal pots... Still have an area of the yard that I can use for the rest of my plants...Maybe they will find a home there

Looking great Charles! Should be just about dirt day over there??? Your Galapagoense is huge compared to my two little runts, when did you start her?

Thanks, it has been growing really well.  It popped January 1st.

Looking good!  Sure does look dry over there... do you water in between the rows only?
I mostly water the whole surface, with the extreme heat we get I try to deep water the rows to keep the root zone cool...

The Tarahumara was one of my favorites, definitely my favorite Chiltepin so far... maybe it's just luck, but it was very tasty and very productive for me, it would form 3 branches at every fork instead of 2 as tends to be usual.

So I'm growing a plant from seed that came from this three-branching chiltepin, and happily it is also forking in threes instead of twos:

The most action I'm seeing these days are with my flowering and fruiting C. galapagoense:

Well you beat me to the fruit, looking good Charles. Can't wait to try the Galapas, are those pods from your ow plant?

Thanks.  It's not the overwinter that's fruiting, this plant sprouted on January 1 this year!

Beautiful looking plants and pics. Forking 3 ways. Awesome.

Sure is a beautiful Galapa Charles!  Cool forking trait too!

Thanks... I am very excited about the three-way forking trait, I really liked that in the mother plant, and definitely wasn't expecting it to be heritable... .  I think Portuge is growing a plant from the same seed too, I wonder if it will also have the thrice-forking trait.

You have single-handedly made me want to grow a galapagoense.  Your pictures have highlighted that plant so well.

It's a great plant.  I can send you seed after this season, this is an excellent line...

I thought I had the flower in focus, oh well, you can kind of see it:
