Spicegeist 2014 - The Year of the Bhut

This year I'm growing primarily bhut/naga types.

Not much to look at now, but thought I'd kick things off since I'm already starting seeds:

Here's my list:
  1. Red Bhut
  2. Choco Bhut
  3. Yellow Bhut
  4. Peach Bhut
  5. Shabu Jolokia
  6. Naga King
  7. Naga Morich
  8. Naga Suomi
  9. Dorset Naga
  10. Guwahati Bhut
  11. Pale Bhut / Bih Jolokia
  12. Jay's Peach
  13. Fatalii
  14. Lota Bih
  15. C. galapagoense

Potted up Pale Bhut on the left, Red Bhut in the middle, Dorset Naga on the right:

Overwintered CAP 501 (C. chacoense), now in a bigger pot, front and center:

Naga King (from South Africa), pale like the Pale Bhut... I suspect they're both true Bih Jolokia:

Hey Charles I thought I update you on the CAP 501 x Donne sali F1.

The leaves look weird, but cool.

A couple more pics.

(You can see a Lanceolatum in the upper right and an Eximium at the bottom.)

I totally forgot about the other crosses... Overheating brain from deciding which to sow I totally forgot them. So I sowed a few Chintexle x Donne sali F1 to see if they pop. They're also going in the Aerogarden so I can take them out when the weather cools. Right now I'm too late. The Tepin x 7 pot is setting a lot more pods in this last week, I hope to try one soon.

Dang, I can't believe I haven't been here since March... All looking stellar Charles! Are you gonna plant exclusively in pots, or will some go into the ground too? No surprise you've got pods on so many plants with the local conditions and the care you give them.
Interesting that your King Naga is so pale... the one I have in an Airpot is very dark green and healthy-looking. Maybe it's a little unstable.
Continued success!

Man I hate checkin in on this GLOG!!  Your plants are always soo beautiful and I then pity myself :mope:   All joking aside,  DUDE them things are stunning Charles!  Picture perfect,   I'm gonna have to blow them up and frame it and hang it from the grow room wall and yell at my plants,  "This is what you need to look like!".    Amazing job man!

Thanks for checking in everyone.  The temps are still a bit low for them to really flourish, but they're maintaining okay for now.  And Rick, I'm keeping them all in pots this year, I don't have a lot of available in-ground space.

Here's a little pod on a plant that I thought was a Chiltepin, but now I'm pretty sure it's Chiltepin x Chintexle:

The leaves remind me a bit of the Chintexle I grew last year:
