contest April ideas

Not a hotdog fan here. Will eat them, but not a fan. So if we do the dog-thang, expect some dog-porn......
 
We already did sausage, where people made their own, so this should be strictly hot dogs. If that is the one we're doing. When you talk about the best hot dog it does not include other sausages. Keep it simple and focus on the toppings, cooking methods, etc.

Every hot dog is a sausage, not every sausage is a hot dog. I really don't think we have to define it! You know what it is!
 
sheesh, we went from Asian, tapas or "spice up bland food" to HOT DOGS?!?!???


How much culinary challenge is there in preparing a hot dog? :crazy:


OK, everyone wants an easy-out. So, I'm in. But I also hope that it is made a point that it must be a hot dog! Not a sausage or kielbasa, maybe rules include the wrapper that says "HOT DOG" {or "wiener" if it's made by a German manufacturer.... :lol: }


And I'll probably use black pepper on my hot dog~ just be cause it annoys geeme!

HEY! Maybe I'll Dutch Oven some hot dogs since we have this great new well-seasoned piece of CI that needs some heat-time.

Who said anything about BBQ??? Personal challenge - 2 seasonings you've never used before, 2 ingredients you've never used before, and optional is cooking method you've never used before.....oh yeah, and NO PEPPER that isn't part of the capsicum family.... ;o)

It's all good, SL - - - I have no room to dish it out if I can't take it! Besides, I won't be anywhere near to smell it.... ;o)
 
Y'all so crazy. Hotdogs will all look alike 'cept for teh toppins' and bun. I say go for dim sum or tapas. I can dig it. Now dot it! Fondue...that is soooo tired.

My point is you can lie and pick stuff you know how to cook. I pick BBQ rub and ribs. :lol:

TB- hot dawgs all look alike, but there are so many ways they can be used! Hot, cold, on a stick, kebobed, with beanies,


SOOO much more than just meat in a bun!

But,hey, I'm just givings props for what seems to be the majority vote here! I'd still like to see something more exciting, even if it is only take the blandest food imaginable and spice it up!
 
TB is not on his game. He totally could have made a hot dog chimichanga! :rofl:
