The Jack most likely numbs all the fire ant bites he has mentioned. I personally would just pop a naga or bhut in my mouth and just chew and spit on them, see who burns who then. :rofl:

Thanks guys.

Was 31F this AM with another frost. I don't know if I'll pick any more this season. I'll have to check the pods left on the plants tomorrow and see if they're still OK.

Another season comes to an end,

That last frost zapped almost all of the leaves.

Hopefully I can get some of these to ripen indoors in a bag.

But many green pods will get left behind...

as well as a lot of tiny ripe ones that I don't have the will to pick.

Plenty of these for fried green tomatoes this week.

This type of Aji Panca just takes way too long to ripen and I didn't pick many this season.

Shriveled and dead leaves do make it a lot easier to pick...

the last harvest of a few more good pods though.

I can't believe a garden that looked so green and healthy not long ago could so quickly end up like that!

I'm sooo glad I don't have to deal with that frost business here!

With the amount of ripe peppers left on the plants do you get any self sown chillis the next season pop up???

Puree time! This was a great thread to live vicariously through while on the water......hopefully mine will be ready(Some were started as late as May....)when I hit the beach in 2 weeks!

Thanks, that last harvest was the fastest one of the season since I didn't need to hunt for the pods.

Nope, weeds and seeds are smothered by the landscape fabric and plastic mulch.

Thanks Dan, but if it didn't ever end we'd miss the fun of starting all of those new seedlings each year.

No, some were sunburned and tossed, but a frost only damages the plant and didn't hurt the pods.
