  • Yeah I suppose it is, we have drive throughs like McDonalds and a takeaway is where you just go and order then take your food home, if you live in their area though you just place a phone order and they deliver it. I'm not sure I've even had an Indian takeaway, maybe once with my brother, I've had plenty of kebabs though.
Same here but I do like salt, I just don't add it to anything, I mean I have gravy on a lot of my vegetables and that's salty enough. I'm not a massive fan of Chinese food, takeaways are meant to be full of salt. I've only ever had a Chinese takeaway once in my life and I never got to eat that, it kinda spilt in the car, a year later I was still finding cashew nuts under the seat.
Es muy bueno, I need a translation. Do you usually salt your veg? It's a bit of a waste putting the oven on for a small pack of asparagus. God I sound like my Mum now, she went to a meeting in a posh hotel yesterday for a meeting about saving energy, she said it was a big joke but that didn't stop her barking at connor if he left a light on for 5 seconds too long, she drove us mad to the point that I turned off all the lights and said, "Hey, let the TV be the only light in the room".
Oh, thanks, it's a bit late now, I put them in a pan of boiling water for 5 minutes. I did cut a bit off the bottom though like you said. I didn't season them, what do you season them with, salt and pepper? They're not the cheapest of veg are they?
I'm back! That was a nice shopping trip. I bought some Asparagus, I haven't a clue how to cook it but I'll probably boil it to mush.
Aw, I'm not too bad, I can give and take and back down... well kind off, well only if I want too. Honestly I'm not that bad. Connor wants the computer now so I'll see you tomorrow honey bun. x
I know what you mean, I still see Con as as 2 year old, he has the same cheeky face with tantrums to match.
I know you don't sweetheart. Connor's only 13 years old but often I feel that he's not my baby anymore, just too independent.
I bet that's only because you're not there with her. She's flown the nest now, and from what you say to me, you've given her very good grounding.
Don't worry I won't, I love my time with Connor when I come home from work. Don't get me wrong, he can be very trying, but I was no different as a kid. I'm on the same wavelength as him, I can tell him what he's thinking before he opens his mouth. I think him being my only child makes us almost too close. Mind you I'm like that with my Dad, we know what each other is thinking and what they're about to say. My dad says it's the psychic bit in the family.
Nope, I have a chat and laugh with Connor before he starts his homework, we speak about his day and just generally spend a bit of time together, just the two of us. Then we do the homework after he's relaxed and had a bite to eat. Lets just say that when it's Con and I together we do it 'our way', the way that works and is fun, even with homework.
I was also away for a while because my Mum came back early and disrupted Con and I having fun, now it's all serious, I mean we were going to start homework soon anyway.
I thought I did, I was thinking just this morning how I haven't done that for ages, oh well, it made you wonder where I'd gone.
I won't laugh honestly as most people in the UK would too, we're known as a nation of animal lovers. I mean if I see an injured fly, even though it might have been getting on my tits by buzzing around me I will put it out of it's misery. Ha, it was probably me that injured it in the first place though.
I've had birds and everything bought in by Connor, I wouldn't put it passed him to try and rescue a rat. I've seen him make sure a frog got home safely.
