    Devv's 2015 - 16, Life is good!

I did do an Epsom foliar spray, but I'll try around the base on the next watering. Thanks Rick!

    Devv's 2015 - 16, Life is good!

Movin right along Scott! Lovin these slightly cooler temps. Were supposed to warm back up with gulf air this week, then drop back to 80s by the weekend. Can't wait for consistent fall temps. Hey, with my yellow brain that's putting out super pale new growth, do you think calcium is the issue or...

first super-hots grow, late start 2016

Looks great! How much longer before frost?

    Crunch time

Luckily I've never had to deal with this, but I guess it would depend on if you still have peppers on or not. If not then trimming shouldn't hurt

    Blueberry, Raspberry, and Scorpions

Oh man how did I miss this one? This may be my new breakfast hot sauce. I'm gonna have to give it a shot this weekend, hopefully using yellow brainstrains doesn't alter the color too much. Might make it a bit pink, I'd be cool with that

I hope Florida doesn't pick up those scraps. I think we're good with ol Jim Mac anyway.

    Tommys South Texas Glog 16

That's quite the concoction Scott! I'm still trying to find calmag locally, because I believe it may be a calcium issue. The Epsom and fish fert did nothing for this guys light color or the curled leaves in the sb7j. But I'll keep at it as soon as I find calmag. We haven't received nearly the...

    Tommys South Texas Glog 16

So I can't figure out whats up with my yellow brainstrain. It did great in the spring and has looked decent all summer, but now even after a dose of Epsom and fish fert, it's super pale. It hasn't had any treatment that the other plants haven't had, yet it's the only one with the issue. Maybe...

    Tommys South Texas Glog 16

Y'all sure did get a bunch of rain this year. We didn't get nearly as much, especially mid-summer, but I didn't have to water the bed til about June. If you can figure out how to keep the urfa's happy down here, I'd love to hear about it. I ended up pulling the chocolate fatalii that was right...

fermenting Making some thangs, Puree, hot sauce, ferment.

Looking good man. That puree looks and sounds fantastic. I just opened up a jar of my pecan smoked chocolate mix puree yesterday and holy hell. It may be the only way I go from now on. So Damn good and enough burn to feel it still today. Those vinegars look great, but I have a feeling they won't...

Do different peppers go better with different foods?

Well aside from the obvious geographical pairings, I've found that chocolates do well with red meats, smoky bbq in particular. Aji's are excellent with seafood. Scotch Bonnets are my go-to for most chicken. Reds I mostly use like I do chocolates, but I also cut up and use as toppings. So maybe...
