To be honest, Mike I do most of my sharpening on a sharpening steel. They're quick, and return a sharp edge in a matter of a few passes. F.Dick make quality products, I just finished restoring a 1930's F.Dick butcher's knife.   I have no doubt that sharpener would work well given their history...

I'd say that's a commercial quantity for market gardeners and the like, probably just Bunnings just trying to get their foot in that market too.   I see those 1,000L totes every day at work for the various chemicals we use, they are far more economical compared to buying smaller amounts.
