    imho, it looks to be these few things :- 1. Rootbound issue 2. Lack of ferts or nutrient lock up (burnt/dead tips) 3. Not enough lights (leaf drop) 4. No air circulation (damping off, leaf drop) I might be wrong though.

    i prefer the frutescens to a chinense, maybe because they are more readily available (they are very productive) and since they arent as hot, most of family and friends can eat them.

    Ok thanks for the tips, Harry. Less ferts, you say? Probably thats what killed it together with the heat and humidity. Will start some pube this year to try. Always wanted one.

    Whoa, epic thread necro. I have problems even with the turbo pube, it would grow for a month and then die off. All the other plants were doing great, same soil, same watering, same ferts, but the pubes all died off after a month of growth. I will try again this year for a complete research...
