Mine did this when I pulled the dome off. I replaced the dome and gradually vented it more and more until I could remove it. Never had trouble like that before so idk what the cause really was. Just my 2 cents.

Maybe some homemade pepper spray could solve this problem. Similar to the hot pepper spray you can by at the store. But I recommend ts for the heat, doubt they will want to munch on anything even looking like a pepper plant again.

The hotter peppers are effected more, chinese in particular annums will grow fine in just about anything.

I will never use that stuff again! At a minimum buy the regular miracle grow, preferably switch to pro-mix. Your plants will take right off once they are out of the moisture control crap!
