    Hi from Washington state

:welcome: from lower SW Minnesota. Used to live in Seattle back in my young days, don't think the damp and my arthritis would be a good combination now. You will get hooked on growing peppers like the rest of us.

    Patrick's 2011 Grow Log

Just drooling, you have some great looking peppers, that's going to be some heat when they ripen. I'd move them in if frost threatens but maybe it will hold off for a while yet.

Brown bag, no apple...they ripen just fine. Check the bags every day and take out the ripe ones. IMO they taste like ripe peppers not green ones.

    Not ripe superhots

My few superhots are in bags as we speak, no apples in there but they are ripening. All I have this year is yellow 7 pots, yellow scotch bonnets and a few bhuts. These are from one plant each that overwintered and survived cold wet weather, aphids, you name it. Our temps went low one night...

pests Aphids came in with plants

Aphids freak me out so any peppers that come in from the outside get a CLEAN planting pot and new potting mix. I can't control every factor but if I trim off most of the roots and stem, plant them in new potting mix and a clean pot it helps prevent those nasty critters!
