I dont know, cuz a little chunky hot sauces dont bother me. though I guess you could try blend the ingredients, cook'em, blend again, maybe cook a little longer & blend, then strain the sauce.

dont know or if its the spices they use. I could of swore I've had other fermented chiles in other hot sauces & didnt have the funky flavor like I taste in franks. I agree theres something about louisiana style hot sauces that goes great with breakfast food. not saying its always tabasco but...

thats such a huge strange difference between pods. its like the pods have features of each main type of chiles & look like 4 different types.

if you plan on cooking some mudbugs wouldnt it better to use chile powder vs fresh chile pods ? I'd think so, but I'm no mudbug eater.

nick - loving the chile con queso & taco! JT - great looking roast beef sandwich, thats how I like making roast beef sandwiches...using garlic bread is far better than regular bread. TB - thats the best looking shrimp taco I've seen!

when it comes to hot sauce the ingredients & flavor..theres no limit as to both for what you can use/come up with. as for vinegar. the basic white distilled vinegar is kinda a harsh flavor, other vinegars have better flavors...I like using white wine vinegar but theres plenty of other great...
