It's probably the stress at the same growth phase that makes them hotter?

Rain seems to make my pods bigger - if they get rain in their fast growth phase that is. Otherwise, I notice a gereneral smalling down of pods the further away from the first node you get.

Same thing here. Mine are still ripening a few smallish pods and trying to stay alive. They need water almost every day, or two at the most. The rain always goes around us. A few cooler nights gave me some flowers on some plants and some new pods, but most of them are dropping for now. And my...

Eureka! That look so much less messy than my coffee grinder and cheaper than a Bullet. I'm going to do the blender thing as soon as I get home tonight if my blender threads will work. I've got several baggies of dried pods I need to "do something with". :D Where do you get the spare blade and cap?

And for our metric friends... This is ~250 grams of red hab on a 9" plate prepped for puree/concentrate. It made an 8oz jar plus leftovers for immediate use.

Here's what 1 pound of my red habs (with stems) looks like - I'm not counting the basket weight. I think I've got maybe 2.5 to 3 lbs from my best plant so far this year and the peppers are getting smaller in size. Waiting for cooler temps to give me my second surge of pods. c.

I'm convinced they came out of the soil on me. But then I was using real outdoor dirt with all its impurities and crawly things, so i just assumed that's where they sprang from. If you're indoors with a sterile or soiless mix then they rode in by an aforementioned method.

I worry more about the paper towel fragment introducing some fungus or something into the root. But if I have to choose between one with a bit of towel or trying to untangle it, I keep the towel. I also use sterile cotton pads sometimes.

Got a picture? It's probably just that they need a shot of fertilizer... what have you been feeding them, what type of soil are they in, and how much water are they getting? Also, what's the weather/temperatures been like? And welcome. :D

Picked my first 6 long choc habs the other day. The first 2 (lowest node) were kind of strange - one has a reddish area, the other still has a green tip that wo't go away. The next node peppers are the nicer looking ones. c.

Tried Skype? I haven't but I've heard good things. It even came preloaded on the Asus. You can do video calls or regular, computer-computer or computer-phone.
