So I found this florescent setup in my garage, and thought "hey, I can use this"! Using an unused bookshelf, I put some foil around the sides, fashioned the light to the top, and here is the result. I have a blackout curtain covering the front...don't really know what to do there. Carrots...

    Update on adopted Habanero.

Well it's been about a week and a half since my buddy gave me his hab plant, and I can say it's looking a little better. It's become more green, and the leaves are no longer drooping (AS BAD AS THEY WERE). I've been keeping a close on eye on it, and it seems to be enjoying my front porch nicely...

seeds Seed exposed on my new sprout!

My sprout is now completely upright, but I can see the seed from which the sprout is coming from. I guess I didn't bury it deep enough or something? Anyways, should I leave it as is, or should I put some soil over it to cover it up? I don't wanna ruin my new plant :(

    soil Soil temperature?

Yesterday I planted my seeds, and have them under a flourescent full-spectrum lamp, and am wondering what a good temperature to keep them at is? I just stuck a thermometer into the soil, and the highest temp I got was 90 degrees. Seems a little warm to me. Help? Please? haha, I feel so dumb...
