Good looking seedlings, how many more trays do you think you will plant? Won't start my annuums for another couple weeks. Nice nagas!

I have 5 planted now and expect to plant at least 5 more counting tomatos, flowers, and my annuums. And I, like you will hold off on planting the annuums until close to the end of Feb...they grow so fast as compared to the chinense..

I use superthrive at a rate of 1/8th tsp per gallon and right now Botanicare Pro Grow at a rate of 1/2 Tbsp per gallon (I follow the Botanicare feeding regimen)...that and give them plenty of light and keep them about 82F....

Do you use them every time you water or do it on a set schedule? How early do you start?
I've been using superthrive with some epsom salt and (dreaded) weak MG tomato fert when they start looking pale (not very objective I know). I don't give them anything until at least 2 sets of true leaves.

Miracle Grow is a complete fertilizer, so you shouldn't need the Epsom salt unless you're trying to balance a deficiency.

Every bit of water the plants get have the nutrients/vitamins in it...that is what is recommended...but as others have said, the fertilize suppliers ARE in the business to sell fertilize...it just works for me...these have been seeing the same mixture since they were planted....

Yep, that's me. Always erring on the side of too much. I promised myself absolutely NO slow release pellets this year.

AJ:
Beautiful results! I'm lucky if I can get a bell pepper that pretty.

Well, you'll feel right at home amongst the over-fertilizers and hormone stuffing members of this forum.

Bell peppers can be quite fussy to grow in this part of the country. I've found hot peppers to be much hardier, and other sweet peppers hardier than bells, if not as hardy as the hot peppers.

thanks again...

MWM...the lights are about 6-8" from the tops of the plants...

Looking great AJ, I just bought some Superthrive for my next batch of seedlings to see if I can grow them nice and chunky like yours.

I have been told it is not organic.
