2016 Grow Start

Been starting some seeds, the first is the Jalapeno, used fresh from the Red ones and only 50% came up, glad I soaked them first to see who would sprout. Planted them in soil and they have come up so , so far so good
My Aji Lemon after a long struggle with Aphids  is finally looking good, so Im breathing easier now with him

I just picked some of that up this weekend from Home Depot in anticipation of the aphids. I'm going to buy some ladybugs first and give that a shot.

  I actually use both. Ladybugs when there are only a few aphids. But once I see sap on the leaves and clusters I hit em with bug b gone. By the next day all the little bastards go from green to brown as they are dried out and dead. You can just blow them off the leaves. No left over residue.

The best Ive found is those little wasps, god sent, all I see is the remnants of the bloated aphid bodies but non crawling around. Out of 5 pots all the action is all on one pot, the others are free, looks a mess but as long as their healthy till good weather comes im happy.

Have not had much luck with seeds this year, what is growing is growing slow.
A couple seeds took a long time to grow , thought they were dead after a month so added the soil back to the pile , so was surprised when repotting a plant they came up, problem is dont recall what they are.
Got more seeds planted today from the Seed train so see how that goes

Been feeding the others more now too so growing faster

Picked up three jalapenos from the greenhouse last Sunday, speed things up.

Got some new peppers yesterday "Burning Bush" looks interesting, $2.89 each

Their inside due to the cold for a few days. Did some repotting on Sunday.

     That Jamaican yellow hab is going to be a monster! Any plans to pot it up? When do you plant out?

I put him in a double size pot from before (8") on Sunday.

Jalapeños doing great and are about 10"
 

 
Burning Bush, grew allot, roots already on the side when I repoted it for the second time (so it wouldn't fall over in the wind)

Picked up a few more plants yesterday. 2 El Jefe and one Habanero, nice size $4 and $6.
