2016 - JoeFish Arkansas Grown

I have wanted a garden for awhile now. So Sept. 2013 I picked out a spot and started working on my spot.  All the rest is history.

My grow list... Since I was skeptical about starting seeds I ordered plants.  Hopefully I will start everything myself next year.

A Picture of my Garden spot.  It is about 21' x 27'

Nice lights and heater.  How do you like them?  How many of those 500 starts to you plan to set out in your garden space?

It's always good to see kids getting excited about gardening.

My new hoes... a 5" stirrup and a colinear

Don't know if any of you know who Jean Martin Fortier is but this is me with him at a farmers workshop.

Composted tons of beautiful tomatoes due to stinkbug damage. Made me crazy!

They kinda look like bonnets to me, but I'm no expert.  Maybe someone else has a better idea.  It's nice to see some fresh pod pics, though.

Love seeing a horn worm well-parasitized with braconid wasps.

That compost barrel back against the fence, is that a commercial product or something you built?  (I'm assuming it's a compost barrel, the horizontal thing.)

I probably shouldn't question Baker Creek they seem really appreciate seed. We will see I guess.

I love wasps but not the vine kind that kill my squash...

Yeah that would be a ComposTumbler and it's awesome just not big enough and you really need 2 of them to keep it going all the time.

Cherokee Purple (my fav)
Brandywine Sudduth Strain
Money Maker
Black Cherry
Arkansas Traveler

There are more just can't think of them. I'm going to put a full list of everything when I get a chance.

What's your favorite?

Nice, I've heard a lot of people recommend Cherokee Purple, I gotta check it out.

I'm fairly new to the tomato game, but my current favorite is called "Adah's Potato Leaf." I got the seeds from fiogga last year and was particularly impressed with this variety.

Ohh I forgot to metion the Absinth Tomato. What a monster. It won't hardly crack taste awesome and ripens the prettiest green you'll ever see.

Marianas Conflict is another keep and they are huge! Taste is wonderful. Some cracking and I have seeds for these too.

Never had a green when ripe (GWR) tomato before, just sounds bizarre. How does it taste compared to a regular red tomato?

Also, did you grow the Black Cherry last year, that one seems to get mentioned a lot too.
