Well, if you're *only* posting to up your count, sure, you should get burnt. If you're having fun and good conversations, though; and just happen to rack up a high post count, well, that's a bit different. One of the newsgroups I post to has more comments in the weekly stats thread then in the on-topic ones some weeks; some of the most hilarious one-liners happen there.

*shrug* It's a matter of the culture of the group you're posting to, I guess.
