7 Pod skin porn..

cool Cappy...if I don't overwinter any other plants this year, the brainy 7 will be the one...

Chris...hope the yellows turn out for you and produce well...mine are kinda weakly it seems this year for some reason...

I'm right there with you AJ, my two Cappy 7 Pots both look like they're going to be monsters. I'm glad I've got one of them in a 7 gallon. The other is in a 5, but I'll probably overwinter both. This strain has to survive, very exciting pepper.

One of Cappy's killers in a 5 gallon - picture taken 6-1-09

First pod from the "Brain Strain" two more on the way on the same plant - they are very small and have the scorpion look...

Also, I have one more plant, but no pods have set so far...

I looks as if you have good seed to carry on the strain in Denmark! I am growing your Goat Weed F2 seed and they stayed dark green until turning red. Beautiful plant but not a goat. I still have the Pimenta Morango and seeing your pretty plant I'm going to start some to grow inside this fall. I counted 20+ nice brain strain pods on the mother plant today. All my 7 Pods have that mini bell shape and brainy skin. I can't wait to hear ya'll reaction to the heat of these pods. No comparison.

Yes, seems to be quite genuine offspring to your mother plant, maybe I will cross it with Pimenta Morango...

Funny with the Donnie's Goat's Weed F2 - I have 11 plants growing and almost all of them have a lot of pubescence, although it varies. Will make a new post in a few weeks when they all have pods...

Magamastger71 nice 7's of all shape and color. It is safe to say that you red 7 Pod is of different lineage than the brain stain. Is Sara your source of all these beautiful pods? Just ask because I am growing a few as well.

Sara is the source for orange, yellow and brown .... three other sources have given me the red

second

the third is wrinkled like the yellow ... Now I do not have photos

Sorry for my imperfect English ... what do you mean by "brain stain"

Brain strain is the name give by this thread to this lineage of 7 Pod that I am growing and shared by me to numerous members of this site. I did not name it that just what people refer to it as. This seed came from Sara a couple years ago when this pepper was first introduced to this site. Happy for you that you have the holy grail or at least think so. Keep up the good work, your first looks like my Red Savina, and your second looks like my Jonahs light green pod. If you wish some wrinkled red 7 I will have more seed to share in a month. Nice scorpion but not the same.:P

Hey, Cappy - I have a bunch of flowers and one or two pods on my smaller Cappy 7 Pot (5 gallon) so maybe I'm ahead of your pace last year. The other plant in the 7 Gallon just looks like it wants to be a tree, although it does have a few flowers. It's possible this Virginia weather (rain every other day) is moving them along a bit. Once I have a "brain strain" identifiable pod, I'll post a pic. So far, so good.

Thanks ... and sorry again for my imperfect english language

I think there are too many names

this year I planted several varieties (different sources)

7 pod red, orange, brown, yellow
Trinidad scorpion red, yellow and chocolate
T.S. mouruga blend
ecc.

and in a few months I will try to understand something more

p.s. the Red Savina is different
