How do you compare flavors of both Naga/Bhut and 7pot?

NJA.... the Bhuts (and i a have pure strain plant going) are my fav for flavour. They have an earthier fruitiness. The 7's are more like a hab/scotchie in flavout but more intense.

The heat of the 7 is really mind numbing. I bite off whole habs and there hot for a couple minuites...... i drool a bit. I eat part of a Bhut and its hotter... for a bit longer but i walk away with a smile.

Moyboy and I ate a sliver of one of those 7's last year and ill be damned if i have ever felt so much pain. Pip threw up and i really had to work to keep it in. It hurt for hours. There was a 13 liter stock pot in the garage and there was about 4 inches of spit in the bottom. I knocked over my beer..... i was seriously delerious with pain.

I would bite into a Bhut again but it would really take some to get me to bite one of these.

I melted half the skin off my leg once... litterally half of it, and drove myself to hospital. There was no way i was driving anywhere after tasting a 7. We were out for the count.

What was the talk about the Morouga blend and the brain strain maybe being the same plant?

I grew both of them this year and they pod shape and looks were very similar...and I couldn't tell the taste and heat apart...

***not trying' to stir the pot here***

just want to hear your opinion...
 
That was my idea AJ that the Morouga Blend and the Brain Strain may in fact be the same plant. I know the Morouga was supposed to be a scorpion and the brain a seven, but the peppers look identical. About the only difference I can come up with is the brain strain has more placental tissue and thus slightly hotter. I grew several plants of both and could not tell them apart by looking at the plants and wrinkled pod skin. Chris agreed with me in another thread as he is the original grower of the Morouga, only a few of us have grow both side by side. If they aren't the same plant then they are very closely related.
 
Very nice TCH, be warned those 7 look deadly hot. Very nice pics of some beautiful pods. I get so much pepper pleasure when others grow and sample their first 7 Pod, it's what keeps me reading these old threads for sure. Congrats. :clap:
 
Nothing like seeing your plants with a little lizard (or two or three) to protect against any unwelcome guests.
