alkhall 2017

New Year's Eve.

Time to get the 2017 Glog started.

I am cutting back this year, probably 50 or less plants.

The list so far:

MOA SCOTCHBONNET FOR COMPETITION (JUANITOS & RFC)
VENEZUELAN TIGER (RFC)
BROWN LARGE SCORPION CROSS (MY OWN - F3)
DEVILS BRAIN (96STRAT)
BLACK BHUTLAH SCORPION (96STRAT)
UNREAPER (96STRAT)
MA WARTRYX (96STRAT)
CHOCOLATE REAPER SCORPION (96STRAT)
BBG7/NAGA (96 STRAT)

BELLS - To be determined, but at least four varieties.
JALAPENO - BIG GUY, Maybe one other.
ECUADORAN HOT LEMON CAYENNE - (Live plants from Burpee)

A few ripe pods.

Top row, Big Red Mama.

Middle, MOA ScotchBonnet. Jaunitos on left, RFC on right.

Bottom, BBG7/Naga. I am a little disappointed the calyxes are not bleeding.

The largest (in sheer volume, not necessarily height) and most prolific plants I have this year, two Ecuadoran Hot Lemon Cayenne. They are completely taking over 'The Box', so much so that I had to remove the purple-leaved BBM that I planted in there, because it was completely covered up by the EHLC. I will bet I get at least 2,000 pods from these two plants.

Finally, a Reaper/Naga Morich cross that, while trying to fork, has the branches sticking together.

Looks like you have the lid screwed on tight, my friend!

Awesome grow, great looking pods, Al!

Thanks.

I owe much of my success to what I have learned here... and a lot of luck.

Hope everyone is having a great season, looking forward to seeing pics of what others are growing as harvesting begins.

Picked a few after work this afternoon. Carbonero on the left, B.O.C. on the right:

I am liking this one alot. It is from seed I saved from a choice BBM last year. However, the pods do not have that classic BBM shape, rather more elongated. I previously mentioned I believe it might have crossed with the Brown Large Scorpion that was growing next to it. Group pic:

A couple of the better pods:
