ASK THE NEXT PERSON ANYTHING ! GAME !

I go camping a couple times a year up in mendo with a friend who does. I'm too fat and lungs are too funky (COPD) I do get to reap his rewards though. I'v got at least two vac sealed in the freezer. We're going in October.

But I want to give you big plants with pods on them (just need to ripen) they will bloom again in oct/nov and ripen pods right through winter in your climate. I've had fresh pods every Feb. the last three years. They're in 7gal pots. But you have to keep them in the shade (no direct sun after 11:30) until winter when you can give them more sun. In 7gal pots there easy to move if there is a freeze.

I kinda was looking forward to giving you these. all the hard works' been done, at this age and size they are virtually bulletproof in our climate. I could give you the jalapeno seeds too, instead of mailing em.

Are you sure??

Hogleg you're a gem my friend. Not really sure how I would get it home. Our car nowdays is a Ford escort four door. We still do wanna visit though. Currently knocking out some bills. We may be able to visit around mid Sep.

Do you think maybe not because of the trouble of getting them home?

Oh fer crying out loud, you got every excuse in the book  Don't be surprised if they show up at the end of yer driveway some morning, dang it.

Whats your new address?     j/k

My favorite fish raw is yellowfin tuna (Maguro)

Whats yours?

Super white tuna? Well yea, Albacore is our local tuna. I hope to catch some in about a month. Its predicted they will be the closest they ever been to shore in our areas. The Cali near shore temps are the warmest they've ever been in history this month.

Whats a good fly to troll for alby's?

I have never flyfished ocean. Sorry don't know. What I meant was a fish known as "super white tuna" to the sushi world. Very white in appearance:

Are you goin out after tuna?

Are you sure that's not Escolar (snake mackerel) not actually in the tuna family. Although sushi joints call it tuna

If they come in close enough and the ocean is flat enough, HELL YEA. My buddies boat is a 19' Bayrunner so we're not making any 40 mile run to find them. But if they come within 12 miles as predicted we're gonna kill some, for sure.

Gotta be up at 4:30, I'm going for lingcod,  halibut, and white sea bass tomorrow
Got any fun plans for the weekend?

Yes Escolar. Yum!
Taking a three day. I'm ahead at work. Have some Sake. Not sure of plans yet.

Do you do inland fishing or just sea fishing?

If there is water with fish in it? I wanna put a line in it. I do a lot of trout fishing in lakes and rivers too. I really like to target smallmouth and big trout at Alpine Lake in Marin county, I guess you could say its my home lake. Its taken me three decades to figure that lake out, but there are some really big fish in there. I caught a 7lbs 6oz smallmouth out of there, the state record is 7lbs 14oz. I know for a fact the state record is in that lake. Its a shore fishing only resevoir, no boats no wading not much access and ruff terrain keep the faint of heart away which is nice. Two lakes up in the chain is a single barbless (fly fishing) only lake (Lake Lagaunitas) stocked with Eagle lake trout. You would prolly love it, and it has good access. I go up there and throw modified kastmasters with single barbless once in a while.

Wet fly? or dry fly?

I like the wet nymphs best for salmonoids, but make my own balsa wood poppers for the bass. The explosive take on a topwater retrieve is EPIC.

What about pier fishin? Do ya crab?

Yea, I've done a little of both.

Had a sketchy day in the boat today  Had to cut the trip short, and to be honest i'm just really happy to still be alive. Before the shit hit the fan we saw three of those giant sunfish, one was about 6ft or 7ft must of weighed about 500lbs. Saw a Orca surface about 50ft from the boat too. Caught a few rockfish and a ling.

Ever been in a boat and thought "OH SHIT, IS TODAY THE DAY???"

Yea. Buddy and I took a 21 foot Northriver out to the Faralons a few years back. Water had some swells that were scary!

Do you fish Pacifica pier?

Tiny baby largemouth bass on super ultralight gear with tiny hindenbrant lure. Fun as all get up watching a one ounce fish fight and jump on a hook.

Ever got to fish for baby tarpon ?

Nope never fished Atlantic waters. Wait I take that back, my Grandma took me fishing at a pier near Coney Island. I think I caught a horseshoe crab. I was really little.
Got a light?

Ever catch sturgeon?

Not sure. Thinking tri-tip maybe with some green beans. I have half a shit ton of frozen lingcod I need to start making fishsticks with though.

What are you gonna dip those fishysticks in?
