Aussie Doors and Windows

I noticed in a lot of the pics you guys post, I see this particular screening on a lot of the doors and windows. Is that to keep bats or large birds from breaking the windows. I put an arrow on the pic. Just curious.

Well I have to admit, when I first saw the pic I thought......"what's this, a serious question from dick, using a non modified visual display"

It wasn't till I saw what TB wrote that i realised how silly a concept the above statement was...:D

As to answer the screen question.......Yes they are for added home security, mostly from humans, but in some places in Australia, from the animals as well......

I thought I had lost weight to, I am very disappointed seeing that pic as I now know I just wasn't looking at myself at the right angle.

Yeah I first noticed the screens in Micks avatar pic, at first I thought that pic was taken in jail....

Thats awesome. My eyes saw it, but my brain took a while to process it.

The screen is so you can let the breeze in and cool the house down, but keep nasty people and animals out.
