less than a week

ok now on for a revisit of youngs double chocolate stout
001-109.jpg

pour brown with a half finger of head pitch black with a halo of red

aroma cofee and chocolate.

taste coffee dark malts that melt in your mouth into lovely smooth chocolate.

its dark and smooth but its still chewy like a good stout i could see a few of these going down realy well.

9/10 i remember now why i liked this so much.

This was a really nice find at my Beer store onthe way home today. St Bernardus Abby Ale. Bottle Conditioned 10% ABV. After an initial overtone of alcohol this beer finishes off woht the great Belgian ale taste that made the Belgian Ale famous. I would drink this again anytime.

Ok Boys and Girls this is one your going to want to try. I found this Dogfish Head brew that I haven't had before and it is good! It's called Red and White. 22oz bottle and 10% ABV. The bottle says it's an Ale brewed with Coriander and Orange Peel and with Pinot Noir juice added with 11% aged in Pinot Noir barrels and 89% aged on Oak Staves.

What this produces is an Ale that has an aroma and initial taste that reminds me of the dogfish Head 90 minute IPA, one of my favorites. On the back end you gt the overtones of the Pinot Noir. The Coriander and Orange peel come in as almost an after thought of the flavor profile. Together these flavors blend into a really good beer that would fig together with a great steak off the grill or just chillin out back. Which ever way you choose you'll want to give this beer a try.

Here's some pics:
Look at that great color in the glass!

Cheers,

well an other re visit
this ones samuel smiths imperial stout
001-111.jpg

pour is brown but in the glass its black you can see small amounts of red comeing though the center when held to light 1.5 finger head that stays a while and laces well

aroma dark malts

taste burnt malts and a kick of alcoholl but its not unplesent

drinkability its a heavy chewy stout so dont expect many to go down

i'd give it a 8/10 now that i'v got more stouts under my belt its gone down in the ranks still great but not as great as others.

sitting in London right now

drinking some Fullers London Porter like its supposed to be drank

today is a good freakin day

ok under wheebz sugestion i picked up a bottle of Leffe blond.
004-53.jpg

pour golden with a 2 finger fluffy white head that dies down to a small island almost no laceing

aroma verry faint hops

flavor a fine balance between hops and malts almost no bitterness kinda generic but its nice.

drinkability its easy to drink but its pretty strong woudlent take to many of these to get ya going a nice lighter flavored beer.

i'd give it a 7/10 personaly.

sitting in Edinburgh

drinking an 80 shilling scottish ale

just ate the best sea trout I have ever had in my life, and it was only 16 pounds

today is a better freakin day

tomorrow is Aberdeen for Brewdog, and its gonna be epic

new one
001-113.jpg

its a canadian made strong beer. pours opaque amber with a frothy white head that dies down after a while with no lacing

aroma is kinda fruity

taste hoppy but not bitter its kinda fruity tasting but i can taste the caramel malts too

its got heavy carb since its secondary in the bottle but its fairly smooth im sure someone could drink one of these. its a bit of a bruser though at 8%abv

my only niggle is with the cork... its too big to go back into the bottle so you either have to cut the cork or drink it in one go.. and its a bit hard to get 750ml down in one go specialy since theres no glass big enough.

i'd give it a 6/10 its good but its just not my style

ps i may be alergic to it.. i drank that glass and 3/4 though it i started sneezing uncontrollably and my throat seems to have sewelled up so im definately going to avoid this if thats what really happend. (i'v got half a bottle left and will test again to see if its true. will edit at a later time to tell you my findings.

I had friend bring some of that over and he left 3 of them in my fridge. I opened one the next day and gave it a go. I can honestly say this is the first beer I've tasted that I honestly hated. Got through about 3 swigs and dumped it out (or gave it to the dog, I cant remember). Either way, not bashing. Garbage in my opinion.. Sorry about the mini rant, I just couldnt pass up the oppertunity to speak my mind on this stuff hahaha!
