Those both look awesome. I noticed that some of those oysters were female.

So is this throwdown proof-of-life optional??? (DTS is on the roasted peppers in the teaser)

Thanks frydad4, my dime is on top of the deli mustard in the teaser pic on page 1. I think all oysters are female except of course those rocky mountain oysters. Carlton Pizza Dawg looks delicious hope to see many more dogs today.

These look awesome so far! Working on baking my buns now! (And still trying to mull over exactly what I'm gonna do!!!)

PRF, much apologies for my snarky comment!! Your entry looked amazing. A great mix of all of the best SC has to offer.

A couple of charleston chew dogs, some cold cheap beer, a guitar, 2 spoons for clacking, and a mosquito swatter...sounds like a perfect summer evening!

And here it is: my teaser pic for Peach City Georgia Dawgs.

I haven't entered many of these, mainly because I procrastinate. But this time I was tipped off well in advance by FD and Sumbits, so here we go. Looking forward to it!

And Sumbits, you're still a nerd. The Bieber said so.

When does this throwdown officially end? I have an idead but probably not enough time to make anything today.

Tomorrow 11 PM EST!

POTAWIE oh no! He makes hot dogs from scratch!!!! Look out!

5-O bustin out the Peach City Dog!! Cant wait to see what you do with it.
I've heard about the peach dog, but never seen it in action. It's the white buffalo of tubular meats.

Okay, so a few hours laboring in the kitchen while the Braves get smoked by the Nats, and here we go. Thank God there is a rain delay...don't know if I could stand seeing any more former Braves go yard on us.

Started off by putting a fine dice on a sweet onion to make relish. Add some sugar, vinegar, cayennne powder, and you have the sweet onion relish for the Peach City Dawg.

Then I peeled and chopped the peaches, added in the scotch bonnets and reduced them in a sauce pan with some simple syrup for about 40 mins. When done, I pureed the hell out of it, and the finished product has the consistency of a jam. The best damn jam you ever ATE!

Finally, after grilling the dogs, it was assembly time. I am always afraid that the finished product won't taste good at all, but these were amazing. You had the bite of the vinegar from the relish, the heat from the SB's, and the sweetness from the peaches on top of the grilled dawg. Outstanding!

Cheers!

Nice 5-O!!! Im imagining that peachy sweetness with the saltiness of the dog. Damn I bet it was good.
Did you take a close up? Bite into that bitch and show us the insides, edit it in!!!!
Nothing better than good food and watching the Braves lose!!
We gosta make that with mangoes this summer!!!! I have HUNDREDS of them in my yard now. All babies.
