Well I made it between everything and a boiling hot day working in the garden etc.
Mixed up everything at my apartment then cooked it up at my new house, had a couple helpers so they each got a burger too
Chickpea/Black Bean Burger.
3/4 qt cooked Chickpeas
3/4 qt cooked Black Beans
1 cup mixed dried mushrooms
3 eggs
Fife berries for buns
1/2 buckwheat
1 tbs Marjoram
1 tbs Greek Oregano
1 tbs Seasoning Mix
1 tbsp Chipotle ********
1 tbsp Smoked Paprika
1 tbsp Sage
1 tbsp 50/50 Dried Tomato and Red Bell Pepper mix
1/2 tbsp dried beetroot powder.
1/8 cup powder Buttermilk.
1 1/2 cup kefir.
2.5 cups Fife Flour
2 large garlic cloves
1tbsp caraway seeds
yeast for bread
Potato's for side
Pink Salt to taste
My Sriracha sauce for topping.*******
FreshTomato's also added to burger, almost forgot
-Cooked up chickpeas/beans in PC/pot till tender (separate).
Chickpea
- Add 1/2 tbsp each of the herbs, spices, 1 Garlic clove, half the dried mushrooms, two eggs and chickpeas in blender and blitz till rough or texture to your liking.
Black bean
- Add 1/2 tbsp each of the herbs, spices, 1 Garlic clove, half the dried mushrooms, buckwheat, one egg and 1/2 tbsp Beetroot powder and Blits.
Once mixed, put into containers to marinade overnight
Mix up Fife, Buttermilk, Kefir and caraway seeds with yeast starter and knead till a ball forms, place in bowl and fridge overnight.
Next day when ready bake buns 375f 30 min
Form mixtures into patties, fry in coconut oil.
Cooked Potato's in PC , when cool cut up and fried in coconut oil.
Garnished with 6 sprout mix I did 6 days prior, topped with Gruyere cheese.
